The Magnes Zionist: They Let Babies Die, Don't They?

When I read this article from Professor Haber at Hebrew University, I could not help but think of the cognitive disconnect of Christian Zionists that oppose abortion yet support the State of Israel. By their own theology Christian Zionists must burn in Hell for eternity.

    a zionist cannot be a christian; a christian cannot be a zionist. ones mouth can open and make all sorts of self declarations. doesnt mean the mouth speaks correctly.

    One would think that Zionism contradicts fundamental Christian theology, but some Christian Zionism is non-theological.

    Ariel Sharon is not dead yet.

    When I read some of Judah Magnes writings, I sometimes have the impression he called himself a Zionist only so that he could engage Zionist Jews in a rational dialogue.

    If Jeremiah Haber agrees completely with his namesake, he may be a secret non- or anti-Zionist.
