Dr. Aafia's case is so painful. It wreaks of a hidden propaganda. In all war-stricken places like Pakistan, it is very easy for foreigners to say that there is a threat to the security of life in the country; but it is better to have died than to be living the life Dr. Aafia's been accorded by the U.S.
ReplyDeleteThere was a very effective movie made last year in Pakistan, called "Khuda Ke Liye (For God's sake)". If English speakers can find a subtitled or dubbed version of it, they should definitely watch it. It not only tackles the issue of brain-washing done by extremists, but also handles the issue of the CIA operations on Muslims, after 9/11. Not to be missed.
