Islam in Europe: Italy: Proposal for imams register, mosque referendum

This article discusses the desire of an important member of the Italian ruling National Alliance party to impose a test of loyalty to Israel on Italian Muslims. The National Alliance of Silvio Berlusconi has roots in Italian Fascism, which was generally supported by Italian Jews until Mussolini allied Italy with Nazi Germany. Jabotinskian Neocons have generally sought close ties with Berlusconi and his coalition. The Jabotinskian Neocon Fiamma Nirenstein was elected to the Italian parliament as a member of the National Alliance.
