While the USA focuses on destruction, third-world scientists innovate!

Saturday, June 23 at 9:30, AIM International demonstrated its Coldfire fire extinguisher technology at 333 Webster Ave, Cambridge, MA to members of the Cambridge Fire Department. The AIM devices quickly put out magnesium, wood, tire, and fuel oil fires. In contrast with the behavior of conventionally quenched conflagrations, the presenters could not rekindle any of the fires no matter how hard they tried.
Coldfire is non-toxic and ecologically friendly. It washes off with water. It is a solution of complex organic compounds derived from naturally fire-retardant chemicals found in trees and other plants.
Fires become self-sustaining when the fuel vaporization and oxidation reaction sequence yields increasing energy to vaporize even more fuel and to provide the activation energy for an even faster rate of oxidation until the chemical kinetics reaches the singularity/catastrophe that produces combustion. In the worst case, when there is enough fuel and oxygen, uncontrolled combustion becomes a conflagration.
Coldfire prevents the mathematical catastrophe phenomenon by absorbing the vaporized fuel to act as an anticatalyst. Because it contains massive organic molecule chains, Coldfire has an extremely high specific heat and absorbs the energy that could sustain combustion before more fuel can transition to the gaseous state to take part in further oxidation reactions. In effect, Coldfire blocks the fuel from feeding the flames and cools down the materials that the fire had been consuming.
Coldfire costs approximately the same as conventional fire extinguishers. The members of the Cambridge Fire Department were extremely impressed and could not wait until Coldfire becomes part of their standard gear in order to improve both firefighting effectiveness and firefighter safety.
Substituting Coldfire for the fire extinguishers currently in use requires only the reallocation of money already earmarked for the purchase of such equipment.
Boston-based AIM International, Inc.(http://www.aiminnovations.com/), which markets the Coldfire technology, is "organized and incorporated as a realization of a network of scientists and educated elite from the 'Global South' to serve the cause of transferring safe and useful technology to and promoting development in the Developing World." Retired BU Professor of Mass Communication Dr. Abdel-Rahman Mohamed is the CEO of this corporation. (See http://www.aiminnovations.com/AOB/aimInTheNews/CEO_Info/AIMsCEOProfile.pdf.) AIM International, Inc. qualifies as a minority-owned corporation under federal guidelines.
AIM International, Inc. also markets two other products that in the Coldfire family. They are:
- Petrocure, which cleans up the environment as well as to save wildlife injured on account of oil spills and
- Nofire, which coats materials to make them fire resistant.
