[I sent the following commendation through Snag Films's feedback and suggestions form.]
Dear Sirs:
I am an expert in Jewish Studies. I run the website and organization entitled Ethnic Ashkenazim Against Zionist Israel. We educate Jews and non-Jews in order to provide them with intellectual tools to stand up to Zionist intimidation and manipulation.
The information contained in The Third Jihad is more or less distorted from start to finish.
The tragedy at Bezlan did not result from Islamic fundamentalism or Islamism but had roots in the devastation of Chechnya by the Russian army during the most recent Chechen attempt to achieve independence and the almost two centuries of struggle of Chechens against Russian domination of their homeland.
In addition to such misrepresentations, The Third Jihad uses a lot of the techniques of the German Nazi quasi-documentary propaganda film entitled Der ewige Jude (The Eternal Jew).
As propaganda both films are intended to end or to prevent genuine discussion.
Just as the German Nazi film was meant to distract from German Nazi ideology and the evil it represented, The Third Jihad is meant to create an obstacle to any real political debate in the USA about Zionism, Israeli policies, and the alliance between the USA and the State of Israel.
In a standard tactic of anti-Judaism, a "good Jewish informant" discloses "the real dirt" about Judaism to gentiles. The script of The Third Jihad brings this technique to Islamophobia with the substitution of Islam for Judaism and Muslim for Jew.
In this particular instance Syrian American Muslim Zuhdi Jasser serves as the primary "good Muslim informant."
I doubt that SnagFilms really wants to get enmeshed in the effort of extremist Jews to incite Islamophobia according to the model of traditional anti-Semitism.

Clarion Fund Snags Coup, ‘Third Jihad’ Distributed Online by Snag Films
In this article Richard Silverstein reports that Snag Films founded by AOL founders Steve Case and Ted Leonsis is distributing The Clarion Fund's new hate film entitled The Third Jihad.
The film works very hard to demonize Islam for being a proselytizing religion. In many regards it is an expression of Jewish prejudice, for Aish haTorah students and staff almost certainly have an equally hostile view of Christian efforts to convert non-Christians to Christianity at least in the case of non-Christians that are Jewish.
I could quite easily create anti-Jewish propaganda pseudodocumentary based in a similarly distorted depiction of Jewish beliefs and daily prayers. See Followup: Jewish, Zionist War Against Salvation and Re: Followup: Jewish, Zionist War Against Salvation, but such a film would miss the key unstated theme of The Third Jihad, which is the effort of Zionists to suppress all criticism and action against Israel.
There is really only one value and one freedom at issue despite the attempt of the film's numerous Zionist spokesman and lackeys to disguise their real concerns.
As much as Zionists attempt to impose thought control on Americans, support for Zionism is not an American value, and the only freedom that American Muslims might almost uniformly question is the right of Zionists to manipulate this US government into providing unqualified support for the State of Israel and into wasting trillions of dollars in order to make the world safe for Zionism by incinerating Arab and Muslim countries.
According to the message of The Third Jihad, the only true Muslim moderates are those that swear complete allegiance to Neoconservative Zionism.
In a standard tactic of anti-Judaism a Jewish informant discloses the real dirt about Judaism to gentiles. Maybe it reflects the nature of the Hafiz el-Assad regime, but Syrian origin psychiatrist Wafa Sultan and German Professor Bassam Tibi share a lot of the basic Neocon view of the world with Zuhdi Jasser.
When I met Tibi at Harvard, I was not particularly impressed with his comprehension of Central and Eastern European history and politics.
I give him credit for reading Hannah Arendt (see "The Totalitarianism of Jihadist Islamism and its Challenge to Europe and to Islam" in: Totalitarian Movements and Political Religions, Vol. 8, No. 1, March 2007, 35–54.), but I do not believe he understood her or her context, and I have some real problems when he applies his partial understanding of Arendt's concepts to issues of Islamic politicization as found in the Islamic world and in Europe.

Chabad (Lubavitch), Putin, Russian Oligarchs
Understanding Jewish Politics in Russia

While ordinary Chabadniks often describe Vladimir Putin as an evil thug, the Chabad leadership basks in its relationship with him. This contradiction has complex roots.
In the beginning the mainstream Jewish community in post-Soviet Russia was dominated by the Russian Jewish Oligarchs, who are a sort of mutant spinoff of Friedmanite Neoliberals (a gross simplification) and who for the most part became enemies of the Putin's policy of bringing privatized former Soviet state corporations back under governmental control.
The National Council for Soviet Jews, which is hostile to Russia, is Neocon-dominated. The Neocons themselves have been working with American Neoliberals in an attempt to wrest the oil and natural gas resources of former Soviet territories from domination by the Russian federation.
While the Lubavitcher leadership shares with the Zionist intelligentsia the basic drive for status, power, and wealth, Lubavitcher politics is relatively simple-minded and involves generic anti-goyism in combination with a desire to bring as many Jews as possible closer to the Lubavitcher way of thinking.
Not only are the Lubavitchers far less threatening from the standpoint of Putin because they lack the Neocon-Zionist-Neoliberal dreams of economic and strategic domination, but Lubavitcher mythology even glorifies the decision of the Alter Rebbe (Shneur Zalman) to seek close relations with the Russian government by supporting the Czar over Napoleon. Because the anti-Putin oligarchs tried to wage a propaganda war against Putin by flinging accusations of anti-Semitism, Putin probably found the Lubavitchers useful as a sort of PR shield.
In order to assure the choice of Lubavitcher Berel Lazar as Russian Chief Rabbi, Putin worked closely with wealthy Russian Jewish baal tshuvah Lev Leviev and with the Putin-friendly Russian Jewish oligarch Roman Abramovich, who was close to Georgian Jewish Oligarch Badri Patarkatsishvili, who until his death led the opposition to the Neocon-supported Saakashvili regime in Georgia.
Ordinary Lubavitcher scorn for Putin and Russians in general is probably a consequence of traditional anti-goyish and anti-Russian attitudes of both American Jews and also Russian baalei tshuvah, who often believe falsely that anti-Semitism is built into Russian genes and that Russian Jewish history is a never ending tale of pogroms and persecutions that result from Russian anti-Semitic genetic programming.
Such beliefs are quite dangerous. Not only do they often morph into fanatic anti-Islamism and Muslim-baiting because Jews often fail to distinguish one group of gentiles from another (see list of Obsession-related blog entries at the end of this article), but Lubavitchers like many Jewish groups are totally convinced of their moral superiority to non-Jews and rarely feel any remorse or connection to anti-Gentile crimes that arise out of Jewish politics and business practices, whether exploitation so severe that Ukrainian peasantry had no recourse but rebellion or the mass murder, ethnic cleansing and genocide that have characterized both Soviet Ashkenazi and Zionist Ashkenazi politics.
