Gentiles Less Human Than Jews?

Larry Yudelson asks in response to a New York Jewish Week editorial that will live in infamy:

Has the paper officially bought into the Chabad doctrine that gentiles are less human than Jews?

J.J. Goldberg brings the question to the next tier of the Jewish Press in a Forward column entitled Why the Jews? Debate Erupts Over How to Explain the Mumbai Terror, but overall Jewish intellectuals and journalists still refuse to confront the vile politics and dangerous behavior of Chabad Lubavitch -- probably because the attitudes of the Chassidic group differ only in degree and not in quality from those of a large section of mainstream Jewry.
