DHS Doesn't Work With ADL

I attended the March 25 Islamic Society of Boston Community Center (ISBCC) panel discussion on Fusion Centers.

[See announcement at end of this blog entry. More discussion of Fusion Centers can be found in the following blog entries:

I was glad to learn from David Gersten (Department of Homeland Security Director for Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Program) that DHS unlike the FBI does not work with the ADL anymore because the ADL's Zionist agenda taints all information and assistance that this Jewish hate group might supply

I hope that the American Jewish Committee (AJCom) and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) will receive similar treatment in the future. These two organizations are distributing a book that attempts to equate Arab with anti-Semite.  I have put an image of the book's cover before the announcement at the end of this article.

While understanding the agendas of Jewish hate-mongering organizations is important if DHS is to carry out its mission, undoing the appearance of American bias against Muslims and of US favoritism toward Jews is probably more important to keeping America safe because nothing is more likely to stoke the hatred that instigates attacks on the US than failure to act as a Rechtstaat by applying national and international law fairly, predictably, and without corruption.

Because contemporary politics makes justice impossible on Israel-Palestine-related issues, I don't have much hope that FBI agents are going to arrest the Friends of the Israeli Defense Forces or Irving Moskowitz any time soon for aiding and abetting terrorism.

Nevertheless, the Israeli government's official terrorist policy should be obvious to anyone, who like Justice Richard Goldstone has spent a few months with Palestinians in the occupied territories. (See Jewish Zionists don't Commit Terrorism?, Latest US-Israeli Point Of Tension Sparked By American Developer's Housing Plans, and Yashar LaChayal.)

Yet the DHS Office for Civil Rights & Civil Liberties could do a lot to decrease internal and external anger at the US government without crossing political redlines by helping Arab and Muslim political prisoners that have been subjected to outrageous travesties of justice.

It is hard to identify the worst victim, but I put Yassin Aref among the top contenders. He is currently seeking a Stevens review of his case, but because of Zionist subversion throughout the US legal system, I do not have much hope that he will have success.

[Comment:  Chances of proving to the court that Aref did not get a fair trial is a very remote possibility, but this is the last remaining and desperate move left at his disposal. Aref's 2255 arguments are very lengthy and, I think, many of them are irrelevant, but I am not an lawyer.]

Other Materials on Zionist Political Prisoners Incarcerated in the USA

While Iraqi Kurdish refugee Yassin Aref was serving as imam at an Islamic center in Albany, NY, the US DOJ filed terrorism charges against him because of the alleged presence of his name in an address book found in the pocket of a "terrorist" killed by US Iraq soldiers.
After this claim proved false and the result of a false translation, the US government resorted to "secret evidence" to continue prosecution on non-terrorism charges.
“How can a trial be called fair if a defendant, or even a defendant’s attorney, cannot challenge the evidence of the accusation against him?” asks the author.
Step by step this book details the injustices suffered by Aref and the local community.
The legal atrocity starts when the FBI raided the mosque in the culmination of a sting operation. An accused felon serving as a cooperating witness hoped to avoid prosecution in return for fingering Aref and local pizzeria owner Mohammed Hossain as dangerous Islamic terrorists. Such sting operations have been part of a larger strategy on the part of the Neocon-corrupted FBI and DOJ to justify selective surveillance and prosecution of Muslim Americans..
A show trial based on secret evidence ended with a guilty verdict and an extremely harsh sentence.
Dr. Ahmad describes how improper prosecutorial psychological tactics, US government manipulation or miscategorization of the evidence, and judicial misconduct gave the false impression the defendant was involved with terrorism when the actual albeit false charges pertained to money laundering.
Despite the ongoing Zionist transformation of the USA into a police state, many supportive community members, journalists, and cartoonists actively demonstrated their belief in Aref’s innocence.
These American patriots bridged the gap between the immigrant Muslims and the local community in order to preserve the freedom of an innocent man and to save what is left of America’s political integrity.
This book is an extremely painful and frustrating journey through the perversion of US law enforcement which smears the innocent as terrorists in an ongoing effort to marginalize Muslim Americans under the cover of ferreting out stealth terrorists, who are American citizens and residents.
Everyone falsely accused in the Neocon-subverted legal system should have a friend like Dr. Ahmad to tell his story point by point.
I hope that the evidence presented in this book will help win Aref’s freedom in his appeal process.
Those interested in learning more about the life and travails of Yassin Aref may wish to also read his book “Son of Mountains,” available at http://www.yassinaref.com/ .

[Comment: Noor Elashi, who is the daughter of Ghassan Elashi (HLF Defendant), wrote the last article. I would not describe the legal persecution that Elashi and others have experienced as McCarthyism. There was a good deal of truth in some of McCarthy's charges as access to Soviet archives was later to show. (I guess I have to admit that I am a Republican by inclination.) The USA terrorism trials are far more analogous to Stalin's show trials or to the Spanish inquisition.
