Brief Comment on the "No More Wars for Israel Conference"

I have a long time association with a professional conference organizer, and we would have planned a conference rather differently.

A few years ago I attended the Third North American Conference of the Palestine Solidarity Movement, Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey, Friday, October 10 - Sunday, October 12, 2003, which had some similar problems with venue.

I felt somewhat out of place at both of gatherings because many of the speakers had their own agenda that really had little connection to Palestinians.

I felt sorry for Rabbi Weiss and his friend. I understand why they wanted to attend, but I also understand why so many attendees objected. Neturei Karta's presence made it seem that criticism of the State of Israel, Zionism and the Organized Jewish Community required some sort of Jewish validition to be acceptable despite the completely justified and understandable desire of some attendees to bury the notion that American Jews have some sort of special status as moral arbiteurs.

The web page at http://eaazi.blogspot.com/2007/10/conference-no-more-wars-for-israel-oct_03.html lists conference speakers.

The lectures by Carlson, Howard, Siddique, Hunter, Tillawi, Cortina, Piper, and Töben were the most interesting but not necessarily because I agreed with the content.

Carlson indicates that a fissure may be opening up among white evangelicals about Israel while Hunter is indicative of the glimmerings of awareness among American Catholics of the magniture of the scam that the organized Jewish community is pulling on the Catholic Church.

While I usually do not think much of WW2 Revisionists because they appear to me simply to want to whitewash German behavior during WW2, I was impressed by how much Töben of the Adelaide Institute seemed to like Iran and Iranian culture without connection to the positive reaction that he received at the Iranian Holocaust conference. (See Holoexaleipsis, Holocaust, Holosphage, and Holodomor.)

I understand the long sufferings of ethnic Poles since the collapse of Commonwealth Poland, but I no longer have much patience for the sort of reality-disconnected presentation that Danuta Becker gave. Even thout the Radio Maria crowd has some just grievances, its obsessions often duplicate the psychosis of extremist Zionist ethnic Ashkenazim like Charles Jacobs, who founded the David Project and who like Becker is an immigrant from Poland.

Mariani disparaged my law firm for doing the work that it agreed to perform for another client.
