As a professional musician who for years has been deeply implicated in pro-Palestinian activism and the anti-war movement, I take the deepest exception to such a sentiment. You might also try it out on such musicians as Brian Eno, Gilad Atzmon, Dror Feiler, Suhail Khoury, Reem Kelani...

I am simply offended by the idea that great music is associated with superior ethics or morality.
Music is ethically neutral, but its downside can be tremendous.
Nevertheless, even if I can sympathize with traditional Jewish or Muslim ulama, I do not necessarily agree with them. There are lots of things that can be misused that I would not ban.
I was trying to point out that in his quest to turn Daniel Pearl into the Anne Frank of the War on Terror, Judea Pearl is using music festivals to support a vicious and genocidal form of ethnic Ashkenazi Zionist racism that is exactly comparable to German Nazi racism.
Judea Pearl's music festivals are so strongly reminiscent of German Nazi music festivals both in goals and in technique that everyone should beware of him and the Daniel Pearl Foundation.
