Letter to the Boston Globe
To the Editor:
Because Sasha Issenberg is the reporter that fact-checked public intellectual David Brooks in Boo-Boos in Paradise (Philadelphia magazine, April 2004), I am disappointed that he is spreading the erroneous claim that the "slaying of [Robert Kennedy] gave [the] US a first taste of Mideast terror" (Boston Globe, front page, June 5, 2008).
In the early 50s, the Israeli government organized an Egyptian Jewish terrorist cell that undertook false flag firebomb attacks against the U.S. Information Agency libraries in Alexandria and Cairo on July 14, 1954. Only luck or incompetence prevented deaths. Israeli military intelligence called the action Operation Suzannah, and it is generally known as the Lavon Affair.
The longstanding Zionist or Israeli predilection for such false flag operations constitutes an important reason why suspecting an Israeli connection to the 9/11 hi-jackings is not unreasonable even though the evidence is slim.

Do you really think the evidence of Israeli involvement in 9/11 is slim, or were you just saying that in order to mete out some truth to curious readers without getting the letter quashed?
There is plenty of evidence of Israeli involvement, of course, not the least being the Urban Moving Systems vans, the calls placed to the police trying to frame people "dressed like Arabs" and "mixing explosives," the Dancing Israelis/documentary filmmakers, the huge spyrings prior to and following 9/11 that were classified by the FBI, and so on. And of course there is ample precedent for Zionist false flag operations throughout modern history. Need I list them? This link provides a good overview, although I'd probably add several others:

Didn't Sirhan do that in the name of the Palestinian cause though?
Yep, he did, but the article did not talk about the first taste of Palestinian political violence. It talked about the first experience of ME political violence.
