In his address to the July 4th ISNA conference, Imam Muhammad Elahi of Michigan's Islamic House of Wisdom echos some themes on which this blog focuses (see the left border column):

We have to be aware that there are people in this country who are conspiring to prevent Muslims from enjoying equal protection under Constitutional law. They are a real danger to all American values. We have to coordinate our efforts with our fellow citizens to help steer our country away from racism, exploitation and violence.

Although we should focus on domestic challenges, it is impossible to ignore developments in the Islamic world. Congressman Tip O'Neill used to say: "All politics is local.” In an era of globalization "All global politics is local, and all local politics is global."

Roya Hakakian: Shadow of Recollections

On July 9 I heard the following radio feature while I was driving along Route 24 to Brockton, MA.

I was already irritated that broadcast and print news almost certainly as a result of Jewish social networking had designated Iranian American Jews disproportionately as the favored interpreters of Iranian events. Yet the combination of Jewish American NPR radio journalist Terry Gross and Iranian Jewish American Roya Hakakian stood out for dishonesty.

I lost count of the number of times Gross used the word anti-Semitism while she was speaking with Hakakian, and the emphasis suggested an effort to refute the reports from Roger Cohen about Iranian Jews in the NY Times.

Hakakian started out with a good deal of misdirection in her discussion of her father's experiences while he was growing up in Iran.

While some Shiites do worry that non-Shiites can transmit ritual impurity, the belief is not specifically anti-Jewish, and a lot of Jews have the same belief about non-Jews: Touch Non-Jew, Wash Hands.

While Mr. Hakakian's life may have been harsh in the 20s or 30s, I doubt it was worse than that of the average Iranian Muslim of the time period, and as I point out in the short excerpt below from David Shasha: Holocaust, Mean-Spirit, Fraudsters, Iranian Jews made tremendous economic progress in the 50s, 60s, and 70s as a result of Jewish social networking, which was able to take advantage of some of the Shah's economic and political goals.

Joachim's note: I am not sure that I can do justice to the history in a short paragraph, for I consider the interactions of Iran with the USA far more complex than usually depicted, but the US overthrew Mossadegh (or assisted the British in overthrowing him or let the Iranian regime collapse in the face of British intransigence over nationalization of the Iranian petroleum industry) in part because he planned to apply developmentalist models to the Iranian economy and to use Iranian oil wealth to modernize. The Shah and the Shah’s associates cut a deal to partner with Western interests to loot Iranian wealth while relatively little was spent on improving the lot of Iranians -- something like the later scenario in Chile. Eventually the Shah invested a lot in strengthening Iran militarily sometimes at cross purposes with American or Zionist goals, but on the whole certain wealthy, politically powerful and non-Zionist Americans have been quite happy when Arabs, Iranians or Turks buy US weapons. In the process of the Shah’s military buildup many Iranian Jews became involved in profiteering associated with the looting of Iranian wealth especially when Western Jews were on the American or British side of the equation. The younger generation of Iranian Jews generally does not understand the ambivalent role that some of their parents and grandparents played in the Iranian economy and society under the Shah.

[The enmeshment of Iranian Jews in Ashkenazi social networking has followed the similar evolutionary pattern of the Algerian Jewish community albeit with much more explicit Zionization.]

After finishing the discussion of Hakakian's family issues without any genuine discussion of the ambivalent relationship of the Iranian Jewish community with the Shah, Gross made sure to go through some of the main points of Jewish Zionist propaganda.

Because Khomeini was no political fool and probably began to understand the nature of Jewish Zionist politics during his exile in France where the Jewish community was very much ethnically split, he had no problem in distinguishing between Ashkenazi-dominated Zionism and Jewish Arabs or Persians. Yet Gross tried to make it seem outrageous and anti-Semitic that he would reject hegemonic Zionist identity discourse by distinguishing ethnic Arab and ethnic Persian Jews from Jewish Zionists that have seized control of Palestine.

Gross then tried to equate suggesting that the Zionist regime would vanish from the pages of history with genocide incitement and wound up the interview by accusing Ahmedinejad of the ultimate sin of Holocaust denial even though he did nothing of the sort and even though revising American understanding of the Holocaust is long overdue

• because of information that has become available since the collapse of the Soviet Union and
• because of the excessive importance assigned to the Holocaust in contemporary American politics:

At that point in the interview, Gross began to recite a portion of the Zionist credo while Hakakian dutifully affirmed whenever Gross paused.

Because Hakakian lived only 18 years in Iran and then 25 years in the USA, the thoroughness of the Hakakian's enmeshment in the ethnic Ashkenazi Zionist worldview is not surprising and probably assured her annointment as a pundit specializing in Iran issues.

According to the Roya's events section of her website, Hakakian is a regular speaker at synagogues or Jewish organizations and is apparently quite aware who is buttering her bread.

Not only does the Roya's essays section of her website include lots of discussions about Neda and the required Holocaust denial article, but there is nothing about Marwa, Rachel, Suraideh, or Abir, and Hakakian has never addressed why the vast majority of Iranians despise Zionism and consider the question of Palestine to be of supreme importance.

Walid el-Houri writes in Neda and Marwa: a Tale of Two Murdered Women: 

On June 20th 2009, Neda Agha Soltan was shot dead during the post-election protests in Iran. The protests occupied the largest news segments around the world, with analysts and commentators predicting the fall of the Iranian regime and the dawn of freedom breaking in "the axis of evil."

Neda's death became an icon of the Iranian opposition and a symbol for millions of people of the injustice of the Iranian regime and the defiance of the protesters. Neda's death was put in context. It was taken from the personal realm of the death of an individual to the public realm of the just cause of a whole society. 

On July 1st Marwa El Sherbini, an Egyptian researcher living in Germany, was stabbed to death 18 times inside a courtroom in the city of Dresden, in front of her 3-year-old son. She had won a verdict against a German man of Russian descent who had verbally assaulted her because of her veil. Her husband, who rushed in to save her when she was attacked in the courtroom, was shot by the police. Marwa's death was not reported by any Western news media until protests in Egypt erupted after her burial. The reporting that followed focused on the protests; the murder was presented as the act of a "lone wolf," thus depriving it of its context and its social meaning. 

Such disproportionate coverage is not new.

 

Whenever powerful media Jews want a story suppressed (e.g., Suraideh Gharbieh and Abir Aramin), it gets buried in the back pages as the NY Times treated the mass murder of Jews during WW2 or simply ignored like the Ukrainian Holodomor, which was for the most part planned and carried out by Soviet Ashkenazim. Heaven help the author that wants to allude to the pattern of Jewish financial aggression over the last 140 years (e.g., Matt Taibbi).

 

If the story refuses to stay buried, racist Jews work hard to demonize the victim (e.g., Rachel Corrie) or to blame the non-Jewish readers (e.g., the Holocaust), and no one is allowed to discuss the context of Jewish misbehavior

• that provokes animosity toward Jews (Jewish Peril 1933 Versus 2009) or
• that incites official and unofficial violence or oppression against people (often called anti-Semites) that Jews dislike.

German and English-language coverage of the murder of Marwa el-Sherbini has yet to mention the efforts of Jewish racists like Henryk Broder and Ralph Giordano to create an environment of fanatic Islamophobia in Germany:

Because Jewish-dominated media disinform on all topics related to Jews, public discussion on the most important public issues is misguided, vacuous or irrational to the point of threatening democracy in the USA and throughout the world. The situation will only worsen until the US government

1. designates the IDF as a terrorist organization (as required by the 14th Amendment to the Constitution),
2. begins arresting or purging Zionists, and
3. starts seizing Zionist assets like major media corporations.

Promote Peace, Human Rights but not in Israel

The Haaretz article shows the outrageousness of Zionist chutzpah (arrogance)! Because the Israeli government provides all sorts of funding and resources to US organizations often for anti-democratic and criminal purposes, Israeli Ambassador Knei-Tal hardly has any legitimate grounds for complaint.

In the meeting last week between Knei-Tal and the director-general of the Dutch Foreign Ministry, the Israeli ambassador suggested that the Netherlands' funding of the organization should be terminated, according to a source.

"The Dutch taxpayer's money could be better used to promote peace and human rights," the source quoted Knei-Tal as saying.

According to sources familiar with the situation, Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen - considered one of Israel's staunchest supporters in the European Union - did not know that the embassy in Tel Aviv was funding Breaking the Silence. He learned about it after the organization's funding sources were published in an article in The Jerusalem Post.

Sources say Verhagen reproached senior figures in the Dutch Foreign Ministry upon learning this and gave instructions to launch an internal investigation on the matter. It showed that the embassy in Israel gave Breaking the Silence 19,995 euros to help put together its 2009 report, which discusses Operation Cast Lead and was released earlier this month. Had this figure been five euros higher, it would have required approval from The Hague.

The director-general of the Dutch Foreign Ministry told the Israeli ambassador that in light of the probe, funding for Breaking the Silence would be reevaluated because of the political sensitivities of the issues covered by the organization.

Breaking the Silence, which was founded by Israel Defense Forces veterans, has collected what it says are damning testimonies from soldiers who took part in the January offensive against Hamas in Gaza. The report contains almost 30 anonymous testimonies.

An Israeli diplomat said that in the meeting last week, Knei-Tal said Israel was a democratic country and that such funds should go to places without democracy. Breaking the Silence was a legal and legitimate organization, he said, according to sources, but its funding by the Dutch was unreasonable "in light of the political sensitivities."

According to a senior Israeli official: "A friendly government cannot fund opposition bodies. We are not a third world country."

As if Israel has no problems with peace and human rights!?

Verhagen really seems to be completely enmeshed by the Zionist دعوة (da`wa -- it seems to cover the Zionist subversion program so much better than הסברה‎ or hasbarah). Is he of Jewish origin? I know he describes himself as Roman Catholic, but Verhagen is a fairly famous German Jewish surname.

I read that the Minister was quite upset at the reinstatement Bishop Richard Williamson. I listened to Williams' interview on the Holocaust. It was fairly stupid, but Zionist mythology about the Holocaust has even less connection to the facts than Williamson's comments, and I was unaware that Zionist Holocaust myths had become part of Catholic doctrine.

An organization that alleged Israeli troops used Palestinians as human shields in Gaza accused the Foreign Ministry on Sunday of "endangering democracy," following a Haaretz report that the ministry had asked the Netherlands to freeze funds to the group. The group said Sunday that the ministry and the establishment were conducting a "witch hunt...only a part of which was exposed in the Haaretz report," that it claimed was testimony to the "erosion of democratic culture in the State of Israel." Breaking the Silence added: "The attempts to silence voices from Israeli civil society are dangerous. As opposed to reports, the IDF has never denied the [validity of the] testimonies and it and the foreign ministry's virulent reaction... only strengthens the position of the testifying soldiers, who are not willing to be exposed." "It looks like the ministry draws ideas from shady regimes, in which those who point out internal failures are considered traitors." [Khaleej Times] The Black Hole of CMU

Over all, the Communications Management Unit (CMU) has the appearance of the first step in the Israelizing the US prison system just as US legal system, military codes, and foreign policy were Israelized during the Bush administration through the efforts of numerous Neocons moving from think tanks into the federal bureaucracy.

The Israeli incarceration system also has a system of special prisons, in which innocent Palestinians are held without even the fiction of a conviction or guilty plea in order to transform prisoners into collaborators via a combination of physical and psychological pressure.

Had McCain won the 2000 Presidential election, the CMUs might have moved on to the next step, and the continued presence of Zionist moles or subversives in the Obama administration suggests the process may yet continue. Not much is known about the new federal prisons that house primarily Muslims and political activists, that are called Communications Management Units (CMUs), except that they are located in Terre Haute, Indiana and Marion, Illinois.

Although the US government refuses to disclose the list of prisoners to the public, inmates include Enaam Arnaout, founder of Islamic charity Benevolence International Foundation, Dr. Rafil Dhafir, physician and founder of Iraqi charity Help the Needy, Ghassan Elashi, founder of Holy Land Foundation and original incorporator of the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP), Randall Royer, Muslim civil rights activist, Yassin Aref, Imam and Kurdish refugee, Sabri Benkahla, an American who was abducted the day before his wedding while studying in Saudi Arabia, and John Walker Lindh, an American convert to Islam who was captured in Afghanistan, plus some non-Muslim political activists. Most of these prisoners were falsely accused of terrorist offenses and then imprisoned for lesser charges but given sentences meant for serious terrorism-related crimes.

Insufficient to Call Israel Nazi!

Israel is only a piece of the problem.

As a client state within the Zionist imperial system, obviously the USA is subordinate to the will of Zionist plutocracy and intelligentsia (the Cacocracy) and cannot possibly be restored to political and economic health until the Zionist political-economic vampire is staked through the heart by means of:

• purging Zionist subversives from all positions of responsibility within the USA,
  
• putting all supporters of Zionist terrorism in jail under anti-terrorism laws, and
  
• removing or obliterating the criminal Zionist conglomeration of racist, murderous, genocidal invaders, interlopers, thieves, and usurpers from Stolen and Occupied Palestine as is required under post-WW2 Nuremberg Law and the International Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of Genocide.

According to AJC statistics 80% of American Jews are either Zionists or support Zionism and are therefore either Nazis or Nazi-supporters. America is dying because Jewish Nazis permeate the political, legal, economic, financial, cultural and academic elite. The USA can only be saved by purging Jewish Zionist subversives as supporters of Zionist terrorism.

[The Nation] Prussia on the Mediterranean?

Although I would not have made the gratuitous slur on Prussia, Roane Carey's article Prussia on the Mediterranean? describes the Israel I saw while working on and off on EU development projects during the 90s and early 2000s.

It is an assumption almost universally acknowledged among the liberal American intelligentsia that while the Israeli occupation is repressive and abhorrent, Israel itself is an open, fully democratic state with a lively, argumentative and very free press.

Perish the thought. After spending three months in Israel on a fellowship, I can say that nearly every member of the liberal Israeli intelligentsia I've talked to says something quite different: that their country's media are seriously diseased, failing to provide the minimal level of fair reporting and serious critical inquiry that are crucial pillars of an open society.

Americans who don't read Hebrew or watch Israeli television news may get a skewed view of the spectrum, assuming that Ha'aretz, the smaller-circulation daily read mostly by intellectuals and the political classes--and foreigners, who devour its English-language edition online--is representative, and that critical columnists and reporters like Gideon Levy, Akiva Eldar and Amira Hass are sprinkled throughout the Israeli media. It isn't, and they aren't. The larger-circulation dailies Yediot and Ma'ariv, as well as the Jerusalem Post and television news, are tilted much more to the right--just like the mainstream US media, which certainly have nothing to teach Israel in this regard.

In his concluding paragraphs Carey comes very close to the truth about Israel.

Certainly the Gaza campaign brought out the worst in the apparatus of repression, which was fueled by a public mood of vengeance and hatred of Palestinians, which was itself heightened by the Hamas rocket barrages. (Berkovitch told me that many passers-by at the January demonstration shouted abuses at the protesters, calling them traitors and saying things like "Jews should kill more Arabs." "So much hatred I've never encountered in my life," she said.) The trend is worrying, but it should be emphasized that in general, Israeli Jews, unlike Palestinians, still enjoy a remarkable degree of freedom to speak out on almost any issue.

With a far-right government that is not only determined to avoid serious negotiations with the Palestinians but is actively promoting settlement growth; that shows all the signs of preparing for war against Iran and is actively stoking public paranoia on that front; that increasingly sees Palestinian citizens as a menace, as the enemy within, the contradictions of a nation that claims to be both Jewish and democratic are fraying. How can a state that imprisons 4 million Palestinians behind ghetto walls, bypass roads and a blockade, and treats another 1.5 million as second-class citizens, be democratic? BGU geography professor Oren Yiftachel calls Israel an ethnocracy (the title of a recent book of his); the late Hebrew University sociologist Baruch Kimmerling called it a "Herrenvolk democracy." Whatever you call it, if Israel continues along its current path, the repression will necessarily intensify, and the avenues for free expression will become ever more constricted. The old joke about Prussia was that it was an army masquerading as a state. Is Israel destined to become Prussia on the Mediterranean?

Because I discussed the nature of the German Nazi state with Kimmerling, I can safely state that he was aware that the German Nazis were much more democratic than generally assumed and that they loved to hold elections and plebiscites as long as the right people voted in terms of race or ethnicity.

He agreed with me that Claudia Koonz's The Nazi Conscience inadvertantly provided a perfect description of the Zionist conscience.

Kimmerling called Israel a Herrenvolk democracy because he could not bring himself to state publicly that Israel is a Jewish Nazi state. Sphere: Related Content

Even though Israel advocates are licensed freely to defame Arabs and Muslims, the rest of us are severely hindered from pointing out criminal Zionist misbehavior in the media even if it is fully documented, takes place right out in the open, or is only barely concealed.

Conspiracy involves lower US officials

Many blame Ashcroft, Cheney, and Bush for ongoing campaigns against activists, politicians and organizations that try to help Arabs and Muslims.

Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner, a long time Palestinian rights advocate, told supporters that he believes former US Attorney General John Ashcroft personally orchestrated a sting operation to remove him from office. As in previous cases, strategic “media update sessions” put the media into a predatory frenzy before the accused even went to trial. Media accusations often do not even coincide with the actual charges.

Riad Hamad, founder of Palestinian Children’s Welfare Fund in Texas, believed George Bush was after him. When Hamad died mysteriously and violently after a vicious media campaign libeling him as a terrorism supporter, police and FBI refused to investigate. Clearly, there was a conspiracy involving media and law enforcement. Yet for Bush personally to take such an interest in local politics is probably beyond plausibility.

This pattern of political persecutions from Turner to Chas Freeman can be best understood with a bottom-up approach.

As Jewish wealth, power, and influence have increased so has its ability to punish those offending the organized Jewish community in some way. While the Jewish power elite seems to enjoy legal immunity, Americans and US residents targeted by these powerful political economic oligarchs suffer media and governmental abuse. This is particularly true in the Boston area, which is now a major command and control center for transnational Jewish politics and Zionist lobbying.

Not only do many such organizations that long ago should have lost 501(c)(3) tax deductible status continue to incite racism effectively with US government subsidization, but financial predation has to be truly awesome before discussion of their financial wrongdoing becomes even slightly possible, and to this day a Boston-area fraudster like longtime Madoff-associate Robert Jaffe has yet to face criminal charges.

Americans should wonder whether the studious obliviousness of US Attorney to federal criminal violations, including all the ongoing bribery of US public officials with trips to Israel, indicates that Zionist power has trumped Constitutional loyalty.

Although the pattern of abuse of power extends well beyond the Boston area, much if not most of Zionist social, political, economic, and academic misbehavior links back to the Boston-area Jewish community or educational institutions where young Jews often first hook up with vast corrupt Jewish social networks. As a major American and world education center, Boston provides the most efficient and excellent means for the Jewish power elite to influence the USA and the world. No one should be surprised US Senator from Israel Joseph Lieberman and Harvard Professor Ruth Wisse are co-in-laws.

Although the presence of extremist Zionists like Rahm Emanuel or Dennis Ross near the president is disturbing, lower rank staffers like Treasury Department official Stuart Levey or pro-Israel propagandist Matthew Levitt are far more threatening to US democracy. While serving the government, Boston-bred Levitt constructed a vast terrorist conspiracy out of paranoid Zionist fantasies trying to explain the refusal of Muslims to acknowledge that it was just to establish a Jewish state in Palestine.

In Levitt's delusions, to which other lesser ranking government officials like Daniel Pipes and Rachel Ehrenfeld contributed, Islamic finance and Islamic charity serve as a many-headed hydra of evil. Through vast numbers of meetings and internal dissemination of documents Levitt and Levey spread Zionist doctrine throughout government bureaucracy until practically every official from Ashcroft down could on cue reflexively repeat the whole litany of the sins that Levitt had fabricated about each charity or financial entity that was targeted for demonization.

Roots of the conspiracy involving Pipes, Levitt, and Levey lead back to the Boston area, where the Israel Lobby is deeply embedded in the region's educational institutions.

Aafia Siddique, who was a graduate student in cognitive neuroscience at Boston area Brandeis University, was demonized as a terrorist to punish her Muslim activism at the Jewish institution. The case constructed against Siddiqui has the flavor of psychotic paranoia so common in Matthew Levitt’s anti-Palestinian, Islamophobic fantasies.

During the Bush administration Levitt, who manipulated the US government into putting a lot of good people in jail, was a close associate of both Ashcroft and Levey, who continues in the Obama administration as an American Jewish Committee covert operative.

Understanding the centrality of Boston Jewish power in the USA requires a critical look at The Israel Lobby and US Foreign Policy. Professors Mearsheimer and Walt incorrectly claim the Israel Lobby is just another lobby even though the Israel Lobby is really the public face of an international criminal web, which has rendered the USA a dependent intimidated client state within the Zionist imperial system.
Because US hard power is vast while the Israel Lobby only has soft power, maintaining the privilege of the Jewish power elite requires tentacles that reach into American society well beneath national finance and foreign policy levels in order to keep most Americans confused, intimidated, or ignorant.

I have often been puzzled by the claim that "the Mufti of Jerusalem ... helped [the Nazis] raise an SS division in Bosnia" because he spoke neither Serbo-Croation nor German. As far as I can tell he spent most of his time in Yugoslavia with a N. African Arabic regiment that had more or less been conscripted to fight alongside the Wehrmacht in E. Europe.

 

There is no evidence that the Mufti sympathized with the German Nazis except insofar as they were willing to help him drive Eastern and Central European Zionist invaders out of Palestine.

Zionism, Fascism, Nazism for Dummies

Often I state definitions of Nazism and fascism in order to relate these ideologies to Zionism, but I have not done such a good job of explaining the ideological details clearly and simply. Except for confusing fascism with Nazism, Shingo recently described the ideological congruence of (Jabotinskian) Zionism with German Nazism almost to perfection in a recent comment on Mondoweiss:

1. Zionism is indeed a political/secular philosophy and movement.
2. Israel absolutely exalts nation and ethnicity above the individual, no question. Can anyone say, right of return? Israel is never described a state of individuals, but a collective belonging to the Jewish people and thereby qualifying the rights of individuals as secondary.
3. Israel is a militaristic state, where the military lives by it’s own rules. The government is indeed centralized. One need only read the charter of all political parties to realize they are one and the same.
4. Israel does not have an autocratic leader but does exercise severe economic and social regimentation as well as forcible suppression of opposition, in this care, the Arab parties.
5. Suppression of non-violent opposition? Can anyone say Gaza, Fatah? Does shooting demonstrators not qualify as suppression of non-violent opposition?
6. Politicized ethnic fundamentalism is rampant and unambiguous. All political parties are unanimously dedicated to the maintaining of Jewish state and to only recognizing the right of return of Jews. As the saying goes, the right are unabashed about wanting to remove the Arabs. The left will agree as long as the buses are air conditioned.
7. Extremist organic nationalism is blatantly obvious. Israel has moved so far to the right that it will soon pop up on the left.
8. Whether there are Jews of every race is irrelevant because Israel practices racial and bigoted discrimination against non-Jews.
9. Social Darwinism might not have been a component of Zionism, but it has become embedded in Zionist ideology. [Actually both Herzl and Max Nordau were unabashed social Darwinists.]
10. Biological determinism is a component of Zionism because rights (and presumptive character) of individuals are ideological determined according to birthright. Over half of the Jewish population in Israel believes the marriage of a Jewish woman to an Arab man is equal to national treason.
11. Essentialism is the very foundation of Zionism. It is the belief that Jews are unique and as such, will never be accepted into wider society.
12. Primordialism. Most Jews are not related in any way to the Biblical Israelites but are in fact the descendants of relatively recent converts to the religion.
13. Perverted eugenic theory is indeed a fundamental aspect of Zionism. Zionism is based on the belief that all Jews and the descendants of Biblical Israelites even though the claim is founded in scientic impossibility [and explicitly contradicted by the Bible in the Book of Esther.]
14. Opposition to race mixing: Over half of the Jewish population in Israel believes the marriage of a Jewish woman to an Arab man is equal to national treason. Many if not most Jewish Zionists believe that Jews who intermarry are self-hating Jews.
15. If there is any state that exemplifies the belief in national revival through racial purity, Israel is it. Israel believes a piece of land belongs to Jews, which only makes sense in the context of Jews being genetically related to one another and descended from Biblical Israelites.

If German Nazism is substituted for Zionism, if German Aryan is substitued for Jew, if the German State is substituted for Israel, if Jew is substituted for Arab, and if ancient Teutons is substituted for Biblical Israelites, the above analysis applies almost exactly to German Nazism. [Note that Hitler was not nearly as autocratic as Western historiography tends to depict him especially because the obvious contemporary comparison would be the far more autocratic Joseph Stalin.]

In contrast, fascism, which is a revision of Marxism, attempts to demonstrate that class conflict can be transcended via national revival. In fascist thinking, the nation need not be defined according to racist or voelkisch principles, but when it is (especially in the German context), the precise terminology is Volkssocialism, and Chaim Arlosoroff expounded the fascist principles of Labor Zionism in book entitled Der juedische Volkssozialismus. The Strasser faction of German Nazism could also be described as Volkssocialist. The Zionist political scientist Zeev Sternhell dishonestly identifies Labor Zionism as national socialism, which he distinguishes from Nationalist Socialism or Nazism, in order to obscure its true voelkisch racist fascist of Volkssocialist nature.

The definitions of fascism and Nazism can be applied to the basic Zionist political categories as follows:

1. Herzlian or Congress Zionism (both political and cultural): voelkisch (proto-Nazi) theoretically racist Imperialist — reformulated in the USA by Brandeis as Refugeeism.
2. Labor Zionism: properly identified as voelkisch or racist fascism (Volksocialism) and comparable to the Nazism of the German Nazi Strasser faction.
3. Jabotinskian/Revisionist Zionist: historically comparable to the spectrum from mainstream to extreme Right German Nazism with the Zionist version in many ways far more extreme and irrational — especially today.
4. Voelkisch occult mystical Zionists: comparable to a minor current of thought within the German Nazi movement.

Today mainstream American Zionism, which developed from Refugeeist Zionism, is a full-fledged form of Nazism with an important currents of voelkisch occult mystical Nazism while J-Street and American Friends of Peace Now as remnants of Labor Zionist fascism represent a minor insignificant internal opposition to Jabotinskian Zionist Nazism.

[Stephen Walt] Obama meets the Lobby

Stephen Walt provides some rather misleading analysis in Obama meets the Lobby:

First, although a few individuals in the Israel lobby continue to downplay its influence, the very fact that this meeting was held is additional testimony to its important role in shaping U.S. Middle East policy. Why was Barack Obama taking time from his busy schedule to meet with the heads of groups like AIPAC, the Anti-Defamation League, J Street, Hadassah, and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations (among others)? Simple: he knows that these groups have a lot of political power. He also knows that the success of his Middle East policy depends in large part on getting significant support from them. In a political system like ours, where well-organized interest groups routinely wield disproportionate influence over the issues they care about, holding a White House sit-down with these key leaders was smart politics.

Second, the meeting also makes it clear that there have been significant changes within the lobby over the past several years, and that there is an evident rift between those who think the United States should continue to the same "special relationship" with Israel, and those who believe that it would be in Israel and America’s interest if Washington adopted a more candid and nuanced policy toward the Jewish state. It is noteworthy that the invitees included representatives from both J Street and Americans for Peace Now -- groups that openly favor a two-state solution and have been backing Obama's campaign to halt all construction in the settlements. Maybe even more noteworthy, the more hard-line groups were remarkably restrained in defending the settlement enterprise.

There is no other lobby that holds meetings like this one. Do we see the heads of organiztions with the Cuban, agricultural or gun lobbies holding meetings like this one with the President of the USA? We do not because those lobbies only lobby while the Israel lobby is the public face of the Zionist virtual colonial motherland (or Judonia).

Obama took part in an executive branch to executive branch meeting with the public face of the leadership of Judonia or to be more precise with the highest level of the paid employees within Judonia's executive branch. The actual Zionist political economic oligarchs were absent

• because they shun publicity and
• because as merely the president of an intimidated and dependent client state within the Zionist imperial system Obama ranks lower than a Zionist plutocrat (albeit higher than the Israeli prime minister).

The virutal state analysis of the Israel Lobby is supported by the ongoing blatant effort of Judonia to manipulate Dutch and EU politics by supporting Geert Wilders and by earlier and ongoing less blatant but relatively successful efforts at manipulating the British, French, and German governments. While the USA has manipulated European governments in the past, no other US lobby has so explicitly interfered in European politics or law as the Israel Lobby currently is doing.

The Israel Lobby functions internationally in an effectively governmental or imperial role.

Nazi-Zionist Friendship Commemorative Medal

Now that "Israeli embassies are being instructed to use for public relations purposes an infamous photograph of Adolf Hitler meeting a top Palestinian cleric," neglecting to point out Zionist-German-Nazi collaboration, alliance, and ideological congruence is practically criminal.

In 1933 German Nazis and Zionists began a collaboration that was mutually beneficial for the next five years. I discuss one of the initial reciprocal outreach efforts in Jewish Peril 1933 Versus 2009:

Because many German Nazis shared Churchill's opinion that Zionism provided a cure for Jewish anti-social behavior, the German Nazis fairly quickly reached out to Zionists in part to thwart threats of a boycott but also because of genuine belief that Zionists and German Nazis were on the same völkisch racist wavelength.

Nazi Journal Der Angriff struck the above medal to commemorate fact-finding trip to Palestine.

Even Zionists, who pretend to be moderate, want to reserve to Jews the right to make accusations of Nazism or Fascism. Thus, Palestinians, Arabs, and Muslims can be demonized in the media as (Islamo-)Nazis or (Islamo-)Fascists in order to make sure that Jewish privilege can be preserved in Stolen and Occupied Palestine, but if anti-Zionists correctly respond with a counter-accusation characterizing Zionism as Jewish Nazism, Zionists and fellow travelers accuse them of prejudice or of anti-Semitism.

Determining whether Zionism is a form of Nazism is a straightforward exercise.

One simply compares the primary literature of Zionism and German Nazism.

The ideologies are practically identical with the obvious ethnic substitutions. In many regards, Zionism is far more extreme.

While Zionists have not yet managed the wholesale slaughter associated with German Nazism, they are certainly getting there and the rule of comparison is the following:

1. Israeli Palestinians live under conditions like those of German Jews in 1935 or 1937.
2. Jerusalem Palestinians live under conditions like those of German Jews in the first half of 1939.
3. OT Palestinians live under conditions like those of Polish Jews during the German Nazi occupation but before the start of Operation Barbarossa, which was the invasion of Russia on June 22nd 1941.

The Zionist German Nazi ideological equivalence was obvious in the 1930s. Victor Klemperer wrote about it in his Tagebücher (Diaries). George Mosse even discussed it in lectures at Hebrew University.

Anti-Zionists and pro-Palestinians have to get over the reluctance to call Zionists Jewish Nazis because the identification is simply true, and the more Jews are willing to call Zionists Nazis, the more the US Israel Alliance can be undermined with the ultimate result of liberating Palestinians from Zionist oppression and of freeing the USA from Zionist subversion.

It is this simple. Jews who want to help Palestinians must openly declare Zionism to be Jewish Nazism.

While German Nazism is evil, German Nazis, who were never a majority of Germans, could try to justify extreme measures in that Germany had to deal with both

• the Soviet Union, which was not incorrectly perceived as a murderous genocidal Judeobolshevik state, and also
  
• the Great Depression, which followed the 1929 Crash, which was to a large extent precipitated by German Jewish American financial machinations — especially at Goldman Sachs.

What did Palestinians ever do to German Jews and ethnic Ashkenazim? Absolutely nothing.

Thus, Zionism (ethnic Ashkenazi Nazism) is far more evil than German Nazism, and those of us that care about Palestinians, the USA, or the world must be explicit on this point.

Not only are Zionists Nazis, but they are even more effective, more sinister, more insidious Nazis — no ifs, ans, or buts.

Unlike Germans during the Nazi period, the majority of modern Jews sympathize with Zionism or identify as Zionists.

• because Zionism is Jewish Nazism,

altogether at least 80% of world Jewry are either Nazis or Nazi sympathizers.

For those who may not otherwise be aware, Harvard University Professor Henry “Skip” Louis Gates, Jr., is one of America’s most preeminent scholars and public intellectuals, in addition to being a prolific writer, researcher, and producer of major documentaries for American public television.

Professor Gates is also a Black man; and apparently, that was the most salient part of his identity when it came to a confrontation with Cambridge, Massachusetts police officers earlier this week.

It seems that Professor Gates, on returning from a trip to China, was attempting to un-jam his front door with the help of a driver hired to drive him in from the airport, and while doing so, the local police department received a report that “unidentified” black men had been seen attempting to break into the Gates residence.

When officers arrived on the scene to investigate, Gates, in producing his University identification also happened to ask, as was his right, for the badge numbers of the officers confronting him. The officers reportedly refused to identify themselves, a disagreement followed, and Professor Gates was arrested – somewhat roughly – and charged with the offense of disorderly conduct.

I am aware of localities where DWB (Driving While Black) is a reason for a cop to pull over a car.

Yet while I am certain that there was a racial component in the incident, I have had the same problem with Cambridge cops even though I am white.

Asking for an officer's identification in Cambridge is almost always good for a quick trip to the police station during encounters either with Cambridge city cops or with Harvard cops, who are deputized by the city if I am not mistaken.

I was able to talk my way out of an arrest, but I have worked over a lot of the last 15 years as a salesman. If I were still on the MIT faculty, I would probably have had more difficulty with the Cambridge police.

The USA has a really sick police culture, which seems to make it easy for cops (and sometimes FBI agents) to think they can get away with anything despite the laws and regulations.

This attitude is probably the root of the subversion of the Boston FBI office by the Winter Hill gang, and I have to admit — even if it is racist to say so —

1. that African American cops generally are not as power crazed as the white cops and
   
2. that I always prefer to deal with a black officer than a white cop.

I recently consulted with a retired DA about the Chuck Turner sting, and he mentioned in passing that Boston-area cops really don’t understand how much their misbehavior has made them objects of scorn and distrust. Nowadays a large part of a Boston-area prosecutor’s job involves overcoming hardly unreasonable anti-cop feelings on the part of local juries.

Cost-Effective Patriotic Anti-Zionism

Because the Israel Lobby has such vast resources in the USA for PR, advertising, marketing research, and political manipulation, cash starved pro-Palestinian, Islamic, Arab, and anti-Zionist activists must choose cost-effective activities with the biggest bang for the buck. Here is my list:

1. Zionist and Jewish organizations and donors routinely violate the rules under which donations to 501(c)(3) organizations may be treated as tax-deductible. As a consequence, many organizations and individuals associated with pro-Israel causes are involved in massive tax-fraud, and anti-Israel activists should start filing the paperwork to alert the IRS to such civil and criminal violations of the tax code and agitate for investigation if the IRS does not follow through with investigations and assessments for underpayments or legal actions in the case of clear fraud.
   
   [Many leaders of Muslim and Arab American charities were put into jail -- often for periods between 10-65 years with accusations of technical violations far less severe than those in which Jewish and Zionist 501(c)(3) organizations routinely engage. A pattern of racial or religious discrimination in law enforce can be the basis for overturning sentences, for a class action lawsuit, and for charging Jewish Zionist subversives in the US government with crimes. In addition, American Zionist racists are neither going to stop their attacks on American Muslims nor are they going to go away. Arab, Muslim, and anti-Zionist Americans to work to put members of criminal Zionist conspiracies into jail in order to assure full participation of Arab or Muslim Americans within American society and in order to make rational discussion of US ME policy possible.]
   
2. The USHMM (United States Holocaust Museum Memorial) provides the organized Jewish community with a subsidized platform to progandize a Zionized Holocaust narrative and to poison human rights discourse. Anti-Israel activists should lobby for Obama to appoint Arno Mayer, Mahmood Mamdani, Ahmed Samatar, or Ali Mazrui to the USHMM council.
   
   [The USHMM provides US tax subsidized Zionist propaganda about the Holocaust, Sudan, Arabs, and Muslims. It helps Jewish Zionists control genocide discourse as a club against anti-Zionists in the USA. It provides a false version of Jewish history in Central and Eastern Europe. Obviously the USHMM is an evil institution that does immense harm. While it might be possible to fix the USHMM, putting someone like Mayer, who provides historical context for the Holocaust, or the other three scholars, who have extensive understanding of African Islam, would do much to undercut Jewish Zionist arrogance and to neutralize the harm that Jewish-dominated US Holocaust discourse does to the USA, to Palestinians, to Arabs, and to Muslims. If the USHMM is going to run politics addressing African Muslim countries, it is simply wrong not to have any African American Muslims on the USHMM council.]
   
3. The US government gives Zionist organizations and individuals a pass on many civil and criminal violations. Anti-Israel groups should schedule or take advantage of meetings with US attorneys and the Attorney General to demand equal enforcement of US laws as required by the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution.
   
   In particular, the statute criminalizing conspiracy against rights, which has been a particularly important tool in guaranteeing the civil rights of Americans, has not been enforced against Israel advocates and advocacy groups that have worked to prevent Arab and Muslim Americans from exercising their Constitutional rights of assembly, expression, religious practice. Israel advocates routinely engage in conspiracies to prevent Arab and Muslim Americans from obtaining jobs and positions, which might be usable as a podium to explain the crimes of Zionism or the threat posed by it to the USA.
   
   [Mosque and other Muslim organizations need to start scheduling regular meetings with US attorneys to demand that the US government start to prosecute Jewish Zionist racists and their allies for violating TITLE 18, U.S.C., SECTION 241.
   
   When the US attorney holds meetings with the Muslim community as he occasionally does, Muslim organizations should prep members to demand action against Islamophobes, who are conspiring to violate Muslim American civil rights. If the US attorney is unresponsive, it may be worthwhile that preventing the enforcement of any US law or statute during time of war can constitute seditious conspiracy.
   
   At the very least Muslim and Arab groups should demand to know the degree and areas of collaboration of the US attorney, the FBI, and local law enforcement with racist Jewish organizations like the AJCom, the SPLC, and the ADL so that the American Muslim community can take appropriate actions.]
   
4. Anti-Israel forces need to establish an organization to research the role of Rahm Emanuel's father Benjamin in crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing, and genocide during the 1947-8 Zionist rampage against the native Palestinian population. If it is determined that Benjamin neglected to provide critical information about his activities during the Palestine Mandatory period and 1948, the organization will educate and agitate for the Office of Special Investigations to deport Benjamin for trial by the ICC at the Hague.
   
5. Anti-Israel forces need to publicize the subversion of the US government by Zionists like Stuart Levey, Matthew Levitt, Jonathan Schanzer, Daniel Pipes, and Rachel Ehrenfeld, who all seem to have been involved in a seditious conspiracy to prevent anti-terrorism and related laws from being applied against Zionists while they manipulated the legal system to intimidate Muslim Americans as well as to demonize Islamic charities, Islamic finance, and Arabic media.
   
   Anti-Israel activists should seek the official designation of the IDF as a terrorist organization under US anti-terrorism laws so that the US government will be forced to dismantle Zionist organizations, to arrest Zionists, and to seize all their assets under the anti-terrorism laws.
   
6. Arab and Muslim donors need to fund a think tank devoted to a full accounting of the cost of Israel to the USA as well as the yearly total subsidy with which the US provides Israel. The former figure is probably approximately $6-8 trillion dollars while the latter probably hovers between $60-100 billion/year.
   
   Because Zionists have manipulated the USA into expending this money under false pretenses, the think tank will educate the American publish about the immensity of Zionist fraud against the USA.
   
   Because of the current economic disaster, which is to a large extent caused by the activities of corrupt Jewish Zionist networks in the finance industry, anti-Israel activists should find tremendous traction for a complete clawback of the total amount of the fraud that Zionists have committed against the USA and also for the imposition of a penalty equal to a multiple of the total amount of the fraud.
   
7. Anti-Israel groups need to work with the families of victims of Zionist terrorism to file terror victim lawsuits. Major cases could seek damages for the IDF terrorist murders of Americans like Rachel Corrie or Suraideh Gharbieh. Such cases might run into problems in suing the IDF directly because of issues of sovereign immunity, but the extremely wealthy Israel lobby provides many wealthy vulnerable defendants that could not claim sovereign immunity. Another problem might result from Jewish Zionist judges that have subverted the US legal system.
   
   Because the US public has been sensitized to the issue of ethnic bias in judicial rulings thanks to Republican scrutiny during the Sotomayor hearings, terror victim lawsuits could provide an opportunity to purge the US judiciary of racist Jewish judges that are criminally misusing their judgeships "for the good of the Jewish people."
   
8. Anti-Israel groups and individuals need to fund legal action by Canadian Arab groups to reclaim the Dead Sea Scrolls, which have been stolen by the Zionist state for propaganda purposes: Khaleej Times: Israel Steals Palestinian Heritage, History.
   
   The Dead Sea Scrolls are the cultural product of the ancestors of modern Palestinians. At the time the Dead Sea Scrolls were written, the ancestors of modern Jews were practicing various pagan religions. Jewish Zionists claim the Dead Sea Scrolls as part of a massive self-deception and an ongoing effort to dupe gullible Christians.
   
9. Because US public discourse and public school curriculums are so polluted by nonsense about the Holocaust, Jewish history, and the State of Israel, anti-Israel activists need to create basic texts that provide factual objective (not balanced) non-Zionist introductions to the Holocaust, Jewish history, or Zionism and that can be used in public schools or interfaith activities.
   
   Personally, I am disgusted that Boston public schools indoctrinated the students including my daughter with Zionist propaganda: Zionist Indoctrination: Boston Grammar Schools.

Many blame Ashcroft, Cheney, and Bush for the ongoing campaigns against activists, politicians and organisations that try to help Arabs and Muslims.

Boston City Councilor Chuck Turner, a long time Palestinian rights advocate, told supporters that he believes former US Attorney General John Ashcroft personally orchestrated a sting operation to remove him from office. As in previous cases, strategic “media update sessions” put the media into a predatory frenzy before the accused even went to trial. Media accusations often do not even coincide with the actual charges.

Riad Hamad, founder of Palestinian Children’s Welfare Fund in Texas, believed George Bush was after him. When Hamad died mysteriously and violently after a vicious media campaign libeling him as a terrorism supporter, police and FBI refused to investigate. Clearly, there was a conspiracy involving media and law enforcement. Yet for Bush personally to take such an interest in local politics is probably beyond plausibility.

This pattern of political persecutions from Turner to Chas Freeman can be best understood with a bottom-up approach. As Jewish wealth, power, and influence have increased, so has its ability to punish those offending the organised Jewish community in some way. While the Jewish power elite seems to enjoy legal immunity, Americans and US residents targeted by these powerful political economic oligarchs suffer media and governmental abuse. This is particularly true in the Boston area, which is now a major command and control centre for transnational Jewish politics and Zionist lobbying.

Modern Jews Misinterpreting Jewish Texts

Rashi, a Missing Yud, and R. Moses Isserles from the Menachem Mendel blog provides an excellent example why it is so important to have a thorough understanding at least of common (koine) Greek before trying to interpret Jewish texts whose origins like the Talmud or the Mishna belong to the Greco-Roman period.

In the blog entry, which I fully reproduce below, various commentators (including RASHI) and commentaries use all sorts of dubious reasoning and assumptions to explain a homiletic interpretation probably originally based in a sound anagram that Hellenistic sages familiar with both Hebrew and Greek would have heard from Biblical Hebrew asimam (I will place/appoint them) to Greek miasma (taint of guilt).

Once a Hellenistic Torah scholar (a hakham, who is a sophos), trying to explain why asimam is used instead of the equivalent asim otam, connected asimam with miasma, he can propose without actually having a scroll with a defective spelling that the sound anagram of miasma and asimam suggests rethinking asimam as ashmam, which would be a heteronym (same spelling, different meaning, different pronunciation) under a defective transcription, and the midrash Sifrei on Deuteronomy, piska 13 is explained.

RASHI inherits many such traditions from his teachers apparently without always fully understanding the underlying reasoning. In this particular case the compositors of Sifrei lacked a key step in the logic and probably invented an alternative explanation.

Rashi, a Missing Yud, and R. Moses Isserles

This morning I started working on a blog post and saved it with the intention of finishing it tonight or tomorrow. I now see that R. Josh Waxman at Parshablog has posted on the same topic, adding more than I ever intended to write. I wanted to mention a few different things so read Josh’s post and here’s mine.

In this week’s Torah reading we read the following verse, (Deut. 1:13)

הבו לכם אנשים חכמים ונבנים וידעים לשבטיכם ואשימם בראשיכם

“Pick from each of your tribes men who are wise, discerning, and experienced, and I will appoint them as your heads.”

On this verse Rashi wrote the following on the word ואשימם,

חסר יו”ד, למד שאשמותיהם של ישראל תלויות בראשי דייניהם, שהיה להם למחות ולכוון אותם לדרך הישרה

“The word ואשימם lacks the letter yud. This teaches that the guilt of Bnei Yisroel is placed on the heads of their judges for it is their duty to admonish and direct them onto the right path.”

The source for Rashi’s comment can be found in the midrash Sifrei on Deuteronomy, piska 13. (See Josh’s post on this point.) This rabbinic interpretation is based upon the the “defective” spelling of the word ואשימם, yet if one looks in just about every single humash or Tanakh the word is written “full/plena” with a yud. See here for the Westminster Leningrad Codex. Not surprisingly, in some editions of Rashi a comment was added saying that in most Tikkunim and Sifrei Torah the word is written with a yud.

First of all, this just shows how ridiculous it is to try and find hidden messages in the Torah by counting letters, numbers, etc. See this article by Jeffrey Tigay which I have linked to before. Secondly, whether a word is written “full” or “defective” may have halakhic implications when determining if a Sefer Torah contains a mistake which will invalidate it or not. In the Shulhan Aruch, OH 143:4 the Rama wrote that even if a mistake was found in a Sefer Torah, we only take out a different one if it is a “real mistake” and not one of full vs. defective spelling.

והא דמוציאין אחר, דוקא שנמצא טעות גמור, אבל משום חסירות ויתרות אין להוציא אחר, שאין ספרתורה שלנו מדוייקים כל כך שנאמר שהאחרת יהיה יותר כשר

The Mishnah Berurah amplifies the Rama’s comment.

כגון ווי”ן או יודי”ן מלאים או חסרים שלא נשתנה בהם הענין והמבטא כגון במקום שהיה צריך לכתוב אבותינו מלא וי”ו ונמצא חסר או להיפוך וכן במקום שהיה צריך לכתוב מלא ביו”ד שימושית ונמצא חסר או להיפוך אבל טעות שנשתנה במבטא אף שלא נשתנה הענין כגון כבש שהיה כתוב במקום כשב או שלמה שמלה צריך להוציא אחרת וכן ה”ה אם כתב מגרשיהן במקום מגרשיהם דהא איכא שינוי לשון וכן אם כתב רחבה במקום רחבו צריך להוציא אחרת אע”ג דנוכל לקרות בחולם כמו אהלה וכן בפסוק והנה תומים בבטנה אם כתב תומים מלא באלף תאומים אע”ג שהענין אחד צריך להוציא אחרת שהרי נרגש במבטא וכן בתיבת ונחנו מה אם כתב ואנחנו מה וה”ה אם נשתנה הענין עי”ז אע”ג שלא נשתנה במבטא כגון בתיבת ונמצה דמו כתב ונמצא דמו או בתיבת מאן יבמי שהוא שרש מיאון כתב מאין ביו”ד וכן כל כיוצא בזה צריך להוציא אחרת ועיין בדה”ח ובשערי אפרים שהאריכו בפרטים אלו

Moses Isserles was also a scribe and in Alei Sefer, no. 19, there are a number of articles on his Sefer Torah.

BTW, I am not the only person that looks at RASHI in this way. See Rashi, interpreter of the biblical letter by Menahem Banitt.

I believe Banitt and I came to similar conclusions simultaneously with me around 1973-4. I was searching for a link between Greek-speaking and Aramaic-speaking Judaism while Banitt was looking at RASHI carefully within the Old French context.

Olmert Follows Israel Project Script

In How to Achieve a Lasting Peace former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is just writing the sort of mendacious op-ed that designated Harvard Law School Dean Martha Minow writes (Moral Turpitude at Harvard L-School).

Just as Minow's lies were coming straight from the IDF, Olmert followed the script from The Israel Project (p. 12) to the last jot when he avoided using the word Jew in his column and refers only once to the Jewish population:

Don’t talk about religion. Americans who see the bible as their sourcebook on foreign affairs are already supporters of Israel. Religious fundamentalists are Israel’s “Amen Choir” and they make up approximately one-fourth of the American public and Israel’s strongest friends in the world. However, some of those who are most likely to believe that Israel is a religious state are most hostile towards Israel (“they’re just as extreme as those religious Arab countries they criticize”). Unfortunately, virtually any discussion of religion will only reinforce this perception.

Therefore, even the mention of the word “Jew” is many Israel contexts is going to elicit a negative reaction—and the defense of Israel as a “Jewish State” or “Zionist State” will be received quite poorly. This may be hard for the Jewish community to accept but this is how most Americans and Europeans feel.

While the IDF clearly ghosts Minow on legal issues relating to the IDF, The Israel Project and other US Israel advocacy organizations almost certainly provide Olmert with talking points on all important and broader Zionist issues to make sure his words (like those of other senior Israeli leaders) conform to the goals and desires of the international Zionist leadership to which the State of Israel is subordinate.

Zionist Parable: Yosef Mokir Shabbat

I have always found this children’s story based on Talmudic aggadah (אגדה) to be particularly disturbing.

While the symbolism of the fish indicates a reworking of Christian material or of the myth of Isis and Osiris, the Talmudic version in effect explains that God will give the wealth of a gentile to someone, who is strictly obedient to the Law of Moses. In today’s time period when Jews define themselves ethnically according to ideas of extremist organic nationalism, they can read into this story a parable justifying either the theft of Palestine from the native population or the looting of the world financial system.

Yosef Mokir Shabbat

(based on tractate Shabbat 119a)

There was once a man called Yosef. Yosef loved the Sabbath and honored it very much. Everyone called him, "Yosef Mokir Shabbat," for Shabbat was very dear to him.

Near Yosef's house there lived a wealthy Gentile who owned a lot of property.

One day the non-Jew visited his sages, the stargazers. They said to him: "We see in the stars that all of your property will go to Yosef Mokir Shabbat."

The Gentile was afraid of losing all his wealth. He went and bought a very precious jewel with all of his money. He took a fancy hat and sewed the jewel upon it.

He thought to himself: "Now I am sure that my wealth will remain in my hands, for it rests upon my head all the time."

But God in heaven decreed differently. One day the non-Jew went for a walk on a bridge. Suddenly, a strong wind came and blew the hat into the water.

The a huge fish appeared and swallowed the jewel on the hat.

On Friday afternoon the fish was caught by the fishermen. They brought it to market but they worried: Who would buy such a gigantic fish - especially since by this time, everyone had already prepared fish for Shabbat?

One of the fishermen said, "Take the fish to Yosef Mokir Shabbat. He will surely buy such a special fish, even if he has already prepared other fish."

The fishermen went to Yosef Mokir Shabbat and he bought the fish.

Yosef hurried to prepare the fish in honor of Shabbat. He took a knife and opened the fish.

And behold! Inside the fish's belly Yosef found the precious jewel!

After Shabbat Yosef sold the jewel for a lot of money. An old man met him and said, "If someone lends to the Sabbath, the Sabbath will pay him back."

[Dr. Claude Mariottini - Professor of Old Testament] A Christian Cross from a Cave in Israel

The article A Christian Cross from a Cave in Israel shows the damage that Zionism has caused to critical thinking among a class of Christian religious thinkers.

Dr. Mariottini writes:

In a recent post, I reported on the largest human-made cave in Israel which was discovered by Israeli archaeologist Adam Zertal. According to published reports, the “cave may have served as a monastery and a hideout for persecuted Christians or the Roman army.”

National Geographic has published several photographs of the caves and its content. Among the items found in the cave, archaeologists discovered what could be a Zodiac sign dating to around the first century B.C. or the first century A.D., thirty-one Christian crosses, Roman letters, and what looks to be a Roman army pennant etched into the cave’s columns.

The above photograph shows one of the crosses found in the cave. The crosses may come from a time when Christians used the cave as a hiding place.

The separation of Christianity from 2nd Temple Judaism certainly does not happen until after the 2nd century and probably not until at least the fourth century.

Jamesian Christianity probably survives until well after this period in regions less integrated into the Roman Empire and probably morphs into Islam Linguistics, Islam and the Beatitudes.

My blog entry Reading Abrahamic Scripture Together provides examples of the simultaneous use of Jewish, Christian, and Islamic texts to illuminate the scriptures of Abrahamic religions.

Jamesian Christianity viewed Jesus as Messiah but not God or son of God.

Islam emphasizes piety towards God and righteousness toward fellow human beings just as Jesus did.

2nd Temple Judaism had several distinct intellectual currents that had completely shattered by the end of the period from the destruction of the temple to the defeat of the Bar Kokhba rebellion.

Constantinian Christianity crystallizes in the 4th century and probably bears the strongest resemblance to the elite Jerusalem form of 2nd Temple Judaism.

Was the official form of the religion successfully imposed throughout the Roman Empire, the borderlands and outside?

Probably not, and Islam probably preserves the religion of the ordinary Judeans among whom Jesus preached, and crystallizes in the 7th and 8th centuries as Byzantine power in the ME erodes.

Rabbinic Judaism is a later development and crystallizes into its Medieval form in the 10th century thanks to the efforts of Saadyah Gaon and his colleagues.

From the standpoint of approach toward sacred law, Islam clearly takes an intermediate position vis-a-vis medieval Christianity ad medieval Judaism.

As I point out in the articles to which my previous comment pointed, there seems to be a critique and rejection of Talmudic interpretations in the Quran itself.

In the 19th century scholars like Geiger assumed that the Islamic tradition was derivative, but such a belief was simply an expression of prejudice.

Careful reading of the texts suggests parallel developments with the proto-Christian and proto-Islamic traditions relatively close to 1st century 2nd Temple Judaism while proto-Rabbinic and proto-Karaite Judaism represent later and more radical departures.

Dr. Mariottini writes:

It is interesting to present different views of Christianity and Islam's relationship with Christianity.

The fact remains that Islam is a latecomer in the world of religion and that the Koran draws heavily both from the Hebrew Bible and from the New Testament.

I doubt that Islam preserves the religion of the Judeans who lived in the days of Christ. This has been the teachings of Palestinians who desire to claim that they are the true preservers of the Hebrew Bible and the Talmud.

Joachim Martillo writes:

[2nd Temple Judaism was a proselytizing religion at least as far back as the Hasmonean period as anyone reading the Book of Esther realizes. In the Roman period, the vast majority of so called Judeans had neither ethnic nor territorial connection either to the Hasmonean or to the Herodean kingdoms of Palestine. Most Judeans of the Roman Empire lived outside of Palestine, and most Judeans in the world lived outside of the Roman Empire. Modern Palestinians are for the most part the descendants of the native Judeans of Palestine of the Greco-Roman period. In contrast, modern Israeli Jews constitute a racist, murderous, genocidal criminal conglomeration of invaders, interlopers, and thieves. Medieval Rabbinic (and Karaite) Judaism are the late-comers. Rabbinic Judaism founded in the Talmud is so different from 2nd Temple Judaism that it is hard to identify continuity. Without the Babylonian Talmud there is no Rabbinic Judaism.

The Babylonian Talmud did not reach its final form until around 700 CE after Muhammad's death and the standardization of the Quran circa 650 CE.

Of the religions descendant from 2nd Temple Judaism Constantinian Christianity crystallizes first.

While Harvard Professor Shaye Cohen argues that Jewishness develops as a reaction, it is hard to avoid the conclusion that the early history of Rabbinic Judaism is more intertwined with the formulation of Islam than with Christianity. (Cohen does not read Arabic or Syriac as far as I know.)

I place the birth order of the modern religions descended from 2nd Temple Judaism as Christianity, Islam and then Medieval Rabbinic (and Karaite) Judaism.

It is fairly easy to show that the Quran incorporates materials going back to the 1st century CE and that idiomatically the Quranic Arabic text has much in common with 1st and 2nd century Aramaic.

In general I recommend reading Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Arabic scripture together in order to avoid missing important connections and internal discussion. Here is an example: Golems, Creation, Midrash, the Quran.

Herzl and Normalizing Jewish Power

In Working on the screenplay for our heroic/tragic biopic... 'Herzl', Phil Weiss writes:

These are very complex issues, but to pick off a couple of them: Herzl's anti-Semitism was expressed at a time of the modern rise of anti-Semitism. There was a Jewish problem. It involved the fact that Jews were doing so well in the European cities, and in the Russian countryside; the Russian peasantry felt "economically overborne" by the Jews, as the antisemitic minister to the Tsar, Plehve, told Herzl. And Herzl seemed to agree with him. "Our frightful financial power" is a key cause of anti-Semitism, he said. Herzl looked at real estate maps of Berlin and marveled at all the property Jews owned.

We look at this through the lens of the Holocaust and say, Why did they even talk about this!!! My response is that intellectuals must talk about the Jewish rise and the Jewish gift for the modern age because they are real and important. It is why I insist on talking about Jews being the richest group by religion in the U.S. today; our bookish past has specially fitted us for this era of history. The trend was evident when Herzl had his vision. European cities were flooded by Jewish journalists, doctors, lawyers, etc. The awareness of Jewish exceptionalism in the modern city is all through the prose work of one of the greatest Jewish writers of any age, Franz Kafka, an insurance man who hated the anti-Semites but saw them as motivated by Jewish specialness. In Herzl's view, and the anti-Semites, this was the Jewish problem because Jews were not fully integrated into western society, they still made up a state within a state. So give me a state, Herzl said; we can't be assimilated.

I chalk Herzl's anti-Semitism up to a real social issue that those societies had to deal with. Zionists would "relieve" the anti-Semites of The Jewish Question, Herzl said. Well the way they dealt with the issue was of course horrific. But Zionism is not the answer either.

Masculinity. Herzl wanted to cultivate the ideal of masculine honor in the Jews. He thought it was lacking in Jewish life. Indeed, Slezkine hints at this idea, as I remember, in the Jewish Century: that codes of honor were based in an agrarian, feudal order, and Jews of course didn't have that, they weren't "princes and peasants," but "merchants and priests." There was an effeteness to Jewish life in the Diaspora, which both Hitler and the Zionists would batten on to. The Israelis also hate this aspect of Jewish life in the galut, or exile. They say that Jews were passive and feminine. I confess this is an area where I admire the Israelis; they imagined different ways of being for Jews. They imagined Jewish plumbers and farmers and bus drivers, not just the "intellectual proletariat," as Herzl described the overeducated Jews of European cities. Without going near the issue of Israeli militarism, which you and I both abhor, I like the idea of more bandwidth in Jewish life. I like a physical life. At one point in his diaries, Herzl praises physical labor as spiritual. I'm with him all the way there. So when Herzl imagined a Jewish state where Jews could occupy many different roles, I see some beauty in that vision.

This analysis misses the critical point. In Herzl's Congress Zionism, there never was any intent to send Western and Central European Jews to Palestine. Central and Western European Jews were to run the Zionist project remotely while Russian Jews constituted the intended settler population even though the vast majority scorned Zionism and a significant fraction preferred

• to join revolutionary conspiracies for the overthrow of the Czarist state and
• to rule within (or as) the revolutionary leadership or at least
• to constitute the quintessential revolutionary class in the new revolutionary state.

While Herzl had no qualms about stealing Palestine and ethnically cleansing the native population, Herzl's Zionism was really meant to normalize or to conceal Jewish specialness in Western and Central Europe so that Jews could continue to cheat economically and to wield disproportionate political power. In other worlds Jewish political and economic power would become more dangerous through insidiousness.

With the theft of Palestine and the imposition of Zionist Holocaust religion in the USA, Herzl's fondest dream has been realized with the qualification that the center of Jewish political-economic power (and remote control over the Zionist colony) has moved from Central Europe to the USA.

[The Hasbara Buster] Millionaire Dhimmis vs. Dhimmitude Nonsense

In general in the past and to this day, not only have wealth and connections determined status and quality of life far more than religion in Muslim countries, but on the whole the Jews of the Islamic world had higher incomes, more education, longer life spans, and more important social connections than Muslim fellow citizens or subjects.

While I must qualify that Jewish status in the Islamic world had more complexity than can be described in a brief blog entry, Ibrahim ibn Yusuf makes a very good point in Millionaire Dhimmis, which was published on The Hasbara Buster website:

My family (wife, two kids and yours truly) is very fortunate where living space is concerned. We own a 150 sq mt house, plus a 50 sq mt yard. That's 50 sq mt of housing per head. Most other people in my country have to make do with much smaller houses, and many don't own any real estate at all. In Barcelona, where my wife comes from, property ownership averages less than 30 sq mt per capita, and I believe the same is true for Paris, Rome and other crowded European capitals.

One would expect us to also compare very favorably with, for instance, the Jews who emigrated from Arab lands. By now you must be familiar with their story according to the Zionists: they didn't emigrate with the encouragement and support of Israel, but were instead expelled; and they never enjoyed comfortable lives in Arab countries, but had been subjected to dhimmi status all along. Now second-class citizens are never allowed to economically prosper, so that Arab Jews must have lived, on average, in abject poverty.

[Arutz Sheva] Clinton’s Top Muslim Aide to Wed Jewish Congressman

Gawker also covers this marriage in Anthony Weiner Engaged to Huma Abedin. The Arutz Sheva article from which the passage below is excerpted has comments mentioning that Weiner's mother is non-Jewish and that Weiner himself is therefore non-Jewish in a religious sense.

Abedin is of Pakistani Muslim ancestry and raised partially in Saudia and partially in the USA. Her mother Dr. Saleha Mahmood Abedin is a prominent academic sociologist in Saudia as well as Director of Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs, London.

Clinton’s Top Muslim Aide to Wed Jewish Congressman

Brooklyn, New York Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner will marry outside the Jewish religion to Huma Abedin, a Muslim woman who is considered one of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s top aides, the New York Daily News reported.

The intermarriage rate in the United States is estimated to be approximately 50 percent and has been one of the strongest forces that has diluted Jewish identity and support of a strong Israel.

Representative Weiner introduced in Congress in 2007 the Saudi Arabia Accountability Act, designed to “halt Saudi support for institutions that fund, train, incite, encourage, or in any other way aid and abet terrorism, and to secure full Saudi cooperation in the investigation of terrorist incidents...”

In 2006, he tried to ban the PA delegation from entering the United Nations, stating that the reason the PA is not an official representative of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) is to avoid the parent group's label as an outlawed terrorist organization.

Rep. Weiner is considered a “defender of Israel” and is a supporter of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) but has not recently taken a strong stand in favor of a Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria.

He said that U.S. President Barack Obama went “too far" in opposing building for Jewish “natural growth” in Judea and Samaria. Secretary Clinton has adamantly argued against construction for Jews in the communities, including the 300,000 already living in there. The State Department also has referred to the 250,000 in several Jerusalem neighborhoods as living in “settlements” and has included them in the proposed ban on construction.

Apologies for the slow publication pace here at Jihadica, but deadlines and an upcoming house move mean I can only dream about serious blogging these days.

This does not mean forums are quiet. Every morning this past week I found things on the forums that deserved commentary. In a dream world, here’s what I would have written about had I had the time:

- France is taking heat. Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb published a statement declaring “France the mother of all evils”, and other posts fumed over the recent French plans to ban the niqab or the burka. I suspect the Americans and the Brits (who of course have long argued that France is the mother of all evils) are happy to share the burden of jihadi attention. Unfortunately for the Anglo-Saxons, however, I don’t think the veil weighs nearly as heavy in the jihadi basket of grievances as military occupations.

- Another one bites the dust. Exiled leaders of the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group told al-Quds al-Arabi on 2 July they are laying down their arms. The declaration is now being spun in the media as the first case of a group leaving al-Qaida. This is a misrepresentation of what’s happening but I can see why people want to spin it that way.

Moral Turpitude at Harvard L-School

According to the Harvard Gazette, University President Drew Gilpin-Faust announced Martha Minow's appointment as dean of the Faculty of Law on June 11th and identified her as "a scholar of remarkable intelligence, imagination, and scope, with a passion for legal education and a deep sense of how the law can serve essential public purposes."

Despite Faust's claim Minow is a shameless Zionist racist, who has casually used her podium as a Harvard Law School professor to spew Zionist propaganda designed to obfuscate the record of the State of Israel as a violator of international humanitarian law and as a perpetrator of crimes against humanity.

In an October 18, 2006 NY Times Op-Ed entitled The Israeli approach to detainee rights, Minow and former IDF legal adviser Gabriella Blum wrote:

Israel enacted its own Unlawful Combatants Law in 2002, with the purpose of providing a domestic legal framework for the prolonged detention of terrorists. Rejecting the terrorists' status as prisoners of war, the law instead provides for holding them "until the end of hostilities." From its inception, it was intended not so much for the detention of Palestinian terrorists, who are either tried as criminals or held in administrative detention, but for others -- mostly from Lebanon or other Arab countries.

Unlike the US bill, the Israeli law provides for a first hearing of the detainee before a high-ranking officer immediately upon his detention; a detainee has a right to legal representation; a first judicial review of the detention warrant has to take place in a district court no longer than 14 days after the first arrest, and every six months thereafter; and the detainee can appeal his detention before a Supreme Court judge. The court must revoke the detention order if it finds that the release of the detainee would not threaten national security or if there are other special reasons that justify it.

Regulations promulgated under the law stipulate conditions for detention. These include provisions on medical treatment, clothing, food (including the right to purchase items in a canteen), outdoor exercises, religious practices, correspondence with the outside world, and even cigarettes. Unlike the US bill, in Israel, the detainee also has a right to meet with representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The chief of general staff can permit other visitors, such as family members.

Most of the judicial safeguards and conditions of treatment stipulated under the Israeli law are absent from the American law. Judicial review by courts has been replaced by military commissions; appeal is limited to one court, the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, which would be barred from applying international humanitarian law to an appellant detainee's situation. Congress has specified that the president -- not the courts -- is the first and final arbiter on the interpretation of international humanitarian law.

Without some evidence Minow and Blum's claims must receive the same skepticism as Zionist hasbarah (propaganda) asserting that Israel no longer tortures detainees.

On November 8, 2005, after providing the results of outside investigations, David Bloom comes to the following conclusion in the Counterpunch article entitled Setting the Record Straight: McCain, Israel and Torture:

The result [of rubber stamps from Israeli government supervisory organizations] is a total, hermetic, impenetrable and unconditional protection that envelops the GSS [General Security Services] system of torture, and enables it to continue undisturbed, with no supervision of scrutiny to speak of. The achievements of the HCJ [High Court of Justice] ruling of 1999, which was to have put an end to large-scale torture and ill-treatment, limiting it to lone cases of 'ticking bombs,' have worn thin. The 'defense of necessity' has also become no more than a veneer. From the research undertaken by the Public Committee Against Torture in Israel, it is clear that torture is carried out in an orderly and institutional fashion. We know that cases termed 'ticking bombs,' do not involve a lone interrogator improvising "in the face of an unforeseen event," as the High Court stipulated. Interrogators appeal to their superiors in an orderly fashion, receive approval in advance, and employ certain methods repeatedly, at least some of which (including the 'bending' method) require cooperation between a number of interrogators.

The 1999 HCJ ruling constituted a significant and bold step in the right direction, but the HCJ failed in not prohibiting torture and ill-treatment absolutely, and leaving intact the legal - and moral - concept, according to which a GSS interrogator is authorized to consider, albeit in extreme situations 'only', torture as a legal and legitimate ant legal option. The achievements of the ruling are wearing down due to those failures, due to the GSS' policy of torture, and due to the fact that the HCJ, the State Prosecutor's Office, and the Attorney General have, regarding this matter, transformed themselves from guardians and protectors of the law into sentries at the gates of GSS torture chambers.

While there are Harvard Law professors like Alan Dershowitz, who would be more inappropriate as dean, the appointment of Minow entangles the Harvard Law School in the politics of IDF atrocity denial because Minow has propagandized on behalf of the State of Israel for years.

President Faust owes it to the Harvard community and to the world public either to ask Minow to resign or to rescind the appointment.

Charles Jacobs is once again waging a campaign of Islamophobic incitement, and the discussion once again fails to address the heart of the issue.

Jacobs' business model depends on demonizing Muslims. The more he marginalizes Arab and Muslim American citizens, the more he creates a distraction from ongoing Zionist crimes against Palestinians, the more money he raises from Zionist political economic oligarchs.

Jacobs is not an isolated extremist within the Jewish community. He functions right at the heart, and mainstream Jewish communal organizations like the American Jewish Committee are just as much involved in subversion of the American political system as Israel Advocacy organizations.

Until the organized Jewish community rejects Islamophobic and un-American politics, the organized Islamic community only legitimizes Jewish Zionist bigotries and un-American activities by engaging with it.

Because the Boston Globe has provided space for Jacobs' new campaign against the Islamic Society of Boston and the Roxbury Islamic Community Center and because the Globe has provided such pitiful space for replies, which seem to be limited to a silly Islamophobic letter from a probably Jewish non-Muslim and another from Abdul Cader Asmal, I have provided a shortened and more focused version of Patterns of Boston Jewish Power.

The future of Zionized American is taking shape in Boston, which has become a major command and control center for transnational Jewish politics and Zionist lobbying.

Just as Zionists literally bulldozed Rachel Corrie, who was an obstacle to Zionist plans in Palestine, the Jewish media-bureaucratic complex crushes whomever it pleases while the Jewish power elite has near total legal immunity.

Boston’s vociferously pro-Palestinian City Councilor Chuck Turner and former rather pro-Israel Massachusetts State Senator Diane Wilkerson look like the latest offerings to Boston Jewish power now that the compliant and politicized US Attorney’s office ran a year long sting operation to nab Wilkerson and then used the same informant to entrap Turner.

Inappropriate prosecutorial zeal has attracted judicial attention.

Marie Szaniszlo writes in Judge eyes prosecutors in pols’ arrests: “At a pretrial hearing in Boston [on July 2], Judge Douglas Woodlock said he wants to determine whether prosecutors tried to ‘gin things up’ in the public arena by disseminating photographs of the two allegedly accepting bribes.”

Boston African-American pastor Gloria White-Hammond provided indication of the logic behind the investigations when she suggested on WBUR that Boston African-Americans needed new leaders.

White-Hammond has long been a shabbesshikse for the most extremist racist segment of the Boston Jewish community. She served as loyal house nigger to Charles Jacobs in the fraudulent anti-Sudan, anti-Arab, and anti-Muslim campaign that his American Anti-Slavery Group ran in an early effort at poisoning human rights discourse to benefit the State of Israel.

White-Hammond failed Jacobs when he was attempting to incite Islamophobia by accusing the Islamic Society of Boston (ISB) of trying to create a haven for Islamic extremism by building a large Islamic Community Center in Roxbury. According to discovery documents revealed in various associated lawsuits, Jacobs contacted African-American church leaders to find a non-Jew to shill for Jacobs and his allies within the organized Jewish community.

Because all Boston-area African American leaders, who had sold themselves to the Jewish community, demurred (including White-Hammond), Jacobs settled for Italian-American Mission Hill resident James Policastro.

Yet White-Hammond managed not only to redeem herself to the organized Jewish community by leading Save Darfur efforts, but by early 2007 the organized Jewish community even seemed to be grooming her as a possible pro-Jewish African American political leader in the second Suffolk state senate district where she lives and later even began to raise her profile to national political level by arranging meetings with President Obama on bogus Darfur issues.

Back in 2007 with no evidence indicating that African American second Suffolk State Senator Diane Wilkerson was dirty and with conscious obliviousness to ongoing organized Jewish community bribery of US public officials with trips to Israel, the US Attorney seems to have begun an approximately year-long sting that used Wilkerson’s cash and tax problems to entrap her and that culminated in her Oct. 28, 2008 arrest.

Because Turner has long known the Jewish power elite has targeted him, he is extraordinarily careful about ethics violations, and a similar operation would have failed against him.

Nevertheless, approximately a month later Turner was arrested in another sting operation that appears to be an afterthought set up to intimidate Turner into resigning voluntarily.

Instead of arranging a series of private encounters and exchanges with Turner, the informant approached Turner in a crowded public setting, shoved a letter into Turner’s hand, and said something incomprehensible.

Eventually the informant became suspicious of the US Attorney's office when he realized that there were no ongoing Massachusetts investigations of white politicians. Likewise, all Americans should wonder whether studious inattention of the US Attorney’s office to prima facie federal criminal violations by Jacobs and associates indicated Zionist power trumped loyalty to the Constitution and especially the Fourteenth Amendment.

Not only do many Jewish organizations that long ago should have lost 501(c)(3) tax deductible status continue to discriminate and to incite racism effectively with US government subsidization, but Jewish financial predation has to be truly awesome before discussion of Jewish financial wrongdoing becomes even slightly possible, and to this day a Boston-area Jewish fraudster like longtime Madoff-associate Robert Jaffe has yet to face criminal charges.

Although the pattern of Jewish abuse of power extends well beyond the Boston area, much if not most American Jewish social, political, economic, and academic misbehavior links back to the Boston-area Jewish community or educational institutions where young Jews often first hook up with vast corrupt Jewish social networks.

No one should be surprised US Senator from Israel Joseph Lieberman has a strong Boston Jewish connection in his mechutenesta (co-in-law), the exceptionally maniacal incompetent Zionist Harvard Professor Ruth Wisse.

Because the hard power of the USA is vast while the Israel Lobby only has soft power, the Jewish power elite maintains its privilege via a pervasive web (the media-bureaucratic-academic complex?) that reaches into American society down to local levels and that keeps the vast majority of Americans confused, intimidated, or ignorant.

Using resources that the Boston-area affords as a major American and world education center has proven exceptionally efficient and provides an excellent means for the Boston Jewish power elite to spread tentacles both nationally and globally.

[NYRB] Amos Elon (1926–2009)

In his obituary of Amos Elon, Tony Judt clings to the idea that there was once a good Zionism, which had some shortcomings yet was fairly decent before the post-1967 war occupation.

Amos Elon was an exemplar of thinking founded in the cognitive disconnect between Zionism's self-image and its long history combining apparently unbounded mendacity with serially increasing crimes against the native Palestinian population.

The following passage of the article reveals the delusions and false memories of so many "progressive" Jews unable to come to terms with Zionism's dishonesty.

For much of his working life Amos Elon was a journalist, employed by the liberal daily Haaretz. During the 1950s and 1960s he worked frequently as a foreign correspondent ranging from Communist Eastern Europe to Washington, D.C. He seems to have interviewed just about everyone, from John F. Kennedy (with whom he attended wild parties at the height of the Camelot years) to Yasser Arafat. He used to tell a revealing story. In an interview he conducted in the early 1960s in Washington, with a senior Israeli diplomat who was about to leave his post and return home, he questioned his fellow Israeli closely. "What do you think you achieved during your posting here in the US?" Elon asked him. "Oh, that's easy," the diplomat replied. "I believe I have succeeded in convincing Americans that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism." Back in those years, Amos told me, he found the diplomat's assertion simply bizarre; he could hardly then have imagined that this cynical political equation would become received opinion among his countrymen and their supporters.

Yosef Grodzinsky investigates the origin of the equation of Judaism with Zionism (and hence of anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism) in his book In the Shadow of the Holocaust, The Struggle Between Jews and Zionists in the Aftermath of World War II. He found

• that the idea can be traced to Zionist education at least as far back as the 1930s and
• that both the international organized Jewish community and the WW2 Allies acquiesced in this idea when the Zionist leadership of Palestine in concert with Zionists in the DP camps thwarted the evacuation of Jewish children to Britain in 1945 and began drafting adult male Jewish Holocaust survivors as cannon fodder in the Zionist program of stealing Palestine from the native population.

If Elon was being honest about his reaction to the Israeli diplomat, Elon was in as deep denial as Judt seems to remain.

I was surprised that Judt considered Elon's book The Pity of It All to "[display] a fine sensitivity to the tragedy of Germany's Jews." Elon's account of German Jewish history has some value for its anecdotes, but serious historical analysis is absent.

Elon starts with Moses Mendelsohn's entry into Berlin (1743). Why? 1648 would have made more sense because it was the year the Treaty of Westphalia was signed. Then Elon could have explained the economic mess of the German countryside during the 18th century, and its effect on the relations between German Jews and non-Jews.

Elon's book never mentions

• that the Kulturkampf took place or
  
• that it had lasting effects on relations among German Protestants, German Catholics, German Jews, Polish Catholics, and Polish-Ashkenazim right into the period of the German Nazi regime.

Not only does Elon fail to discuss how the Prussian government effectively created a Jewish economic elite by its policy of only allowing the most entrepreneurial of Polish Jews to immigrate into Prussia or Prussian-ruled territories, but he also makes all sorts of tendentious or flat-out wrong claims about Czarist anti-Semitism.

Elon leaves out all discussion of the development of Modern Orthodoxy and its relationship with Zionism. Shimshon Rafael Hirsch and Isaac Breuer definitely deserved some mention. Breuer is very much a Tariq Ramadan-like figure in terms of reconciling Western philosophy and religion. He became an important political figure in New Yishuv but unlike Tariq Ramadan took part in a movement that pursued ethnic cleansing and the murder of unarmed women and children.

Complementing Elon's omissions, Judt fails to note in the very first paragraph of the obituary that the Bertelsmann-Stiftung meetings where Elon and Judt first met left out possible Palestinian attendees, whose mere presence would have facilitated a discussion of the commonality of German Nazism and Zionism (ethnic Ashkenazi Nazism) from the very beginnings of both movements.

I first met Amos Elon in Germany in the 1990s. We were participants in one of a series of meetings generously hosted by the Bertelsmann Foundation, where Germans, Israelis, and Jews gathered to exchange platitudes. Most of those present sought either to proselytize and grandstand (in the case of Israelis and Jews) or else to avoid giving offense (in the case of the Germans). Amos, uniquely, did neither. There, as on every occasion when I heard him speak, he succeeded in being both outspoken and yet somehow effortlessly sensible—he dominated conversation by force of reason. He had a mordant wit and a dismissive eye; he was contemptuous of fools and pedants; he smiled only rarely but when he did so it was real. He made a lasting impression upon me.

The German setting was altogether fitting. Amos, who was born in Vienna and was the author of an influential biography of Theodor Herzl, never lost his attachment to German culture and history, a subject on which he wrote frequently and with empathetic insight. The Pity of It All, his 2002 study of the Jewish presence in Germany from the Enlightenment to Hitler, displayed a fine sensitivity to the tragedy of Germany's Jews. For good and ill they remained profoundly attached to their cultural homeland, long after they were forced to leave it for Israel or America or elsewhere: more than the Jews of any other European land, they would feel their loss.^[1]

[State Ethics] Exclusion order on Pamela Geller

In general, I believe that the American right is America's problem. However, the US 'counter-jihadist' movement has begun building links with the xenophobic-populist parties in Europe, united by the fear of 'Eurabia'. They have adopted Geert Wilders in particular, and Pamela Geller is his strongest supporter in the US blogosphere. Like some other supporters there (e.g. Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch) she has now begun fundraising for him.

At any rate, Jewish Week reports that Birthright tour impresario Shlomo “Mojo” Lifschitz, whose Oranim Educational Initiatives hosted more trips (50,000 “satisfied” customers) than any other tour provider, has parted company with Birthright.

For some odd reason, a guy who helped coin and market the term “sexual Zionism” has hit a wall. I guess his hard-sell proselytizing for making Jewish babies and aliyah is no longer in favor.

Touch Non-Jew, Wash Hands

Fanatic racist Zionists Charles Jacobs and BC Professor Dennis Hale made a big deal in their inflammatory Globe op-ed [Muslim] Leaders are extremist of an unsubstantiated allegation that Yale PhD candidate Yasir Qadhi claimed:

Christians are theologically "filthy.''

If Muslims are to be subjected to such scrutiny by Zionist demagogues, Americans should take a closer look at Jewish thinking, culture, behavior and religious practices in order to form a better judgment whether Americans and Israeli Jews really share culture and values.

Here is a daily halakha (Jewish law) in which Rabbi Eli Mansour discusses the possible tum'ah (spiritual filthiness or contamination) that arises from contact with a non-Jew:

Must One Wash His Hands After a Handshake [with a Non-Jew]

Rav Haim Palachi (Turkey, 1788-1869), in a number of his works (Leb Haim, Ruah Haim and Kaf Ha’haim), cites a source from the Zohar indicating that gentiles transmit Tum’a (the Halachic status of ritual impurity) even while they are alive. As such, anytime one touches the body of a gentile, even if he simply shakes the gentile’s hand, he must wash his hands to rid them of this status of Tum’a.

However, the Peri Megadim (Rabbi Yosef Teomim, 1727-1792) noted that the widespread practice is to be lenient in this regard, and not to require washing after shaking hands or having any other contact with a non-Jew. The reason is that the formal Halachic status of ritual impurity is something that applies only to Jews. Tum’a has the potential to surface only when there is Kedusha (sanctity), and thus only Jews, who are endowed with the status of Kedushat Yisrael, are subject to the Halachic status of Tum’a.

As a practical matter, it would of course be very difficult to wash one’s hands after every time he shakes hands with a gentile, and one may therefore certainly rely on the prevalent custom not to require hand washing. Of course, one who can follow the stringent view of Rav Haim Palachi may do so, though obviously this should not be done publicly, in order to avoid enmity and ill-will between us and our non-Jewish neighbors and acquaintances.

It should be noted that one who, for whatever reason, goes to a non-Jewish cemetery must wash his hands after leaving the cemetery.

Summary: One must wash his hands after leaving a non-Jewish cemetery, but washing is not required after touching a living non-Jewish person, such as after a handshake.

LAST WEEKEND marked a milestone in the history of interfaith relations in Boston. On Friday, local Muslims, public officials, and interfaith leaders celebrated the opening of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center in Roxbury - a religious complex paid for largely by the Saudis

If we care so much that Saudi donors contributed to the ISBCC, shouldn't we look into who is funding the Americans for Peace and Tolerance, the David Project, Christians and Jews United for Israel, and similar Israel Advocacy or Jewish communal organizations?

Big racist Jewish Zionist money backs their projects -- whose is it? What is sauce for the goose is gravy for the gander. A lot of Jewish Zionist behavior merits investigation: Clarion Fund: Anti-Muslim DVD to All U.S. Clergy, Lay Leaders on Behalf of Evangelicals Who Reject Prohibition Against Endorsing Candidates.

and run by what federal authorities describe as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood.

So what? Zionists demonize the Muslim Brotherhood, but it is a relatively mainstream modernizing democratically inclined movement.

Some milestone! The city has helped the Wahhabi clerical establishment - purveyors of the most intolerant religious teachings on the planet - and the Muslim Brotherhood - genesis of all Sunni terrorist organizations - set up shop in the Cradle of Liberty, flying a false flag of moderation. And to make matters worse, this sad milestone is praised as a great victory for diversity and a boon to local Muslims.

Which group is setting up shop? The Muslim Brotherhood, which is an Egyptian, Palestinian and Jordanian movement for the most part, or the official Saudi Islamic bureaucracy. The two groups are generally not fans of one another, and this use of the term Wahhabi is comparable to the use of the term Judaics instead of Jews by those with some sort of animus against Judaism or Jewish people.

The Muslim Brotherhood like Americans in the colonial period has been willing to rise up against tyrannical and undemocratic governments. So what? We Americans can empathize.

And the Mosque is a boon to the mostly African American and African origin community it serves and for the whole Boston Sunni community during Ramadan and Eid ul Adha when the community needs a large prayer hall.

Meanwhile, those who criticize this arrangement are branded as bigots and dragged into court,

Maybe because they are. The right to assemble and to worship freely is for the most part an unqualified right in the Federal and State Constitution. Jacobs, Hale and their friends are engaging in the federal crime known as conspiracy against rights. I have read through most of the discovery materials. I don't have a clue to what Jacobs and Hale are referring, but the materials did include fairly clear evidence that the NE Israel consulate conspired with Jacobs, Stephen Emerson, and a plethora of Jewish racists or Islamophobes against the Constitutional rights of Muslims.

So why worry? What will the following facts portend for the future of interfaith harmony in Boston and of the venerable and moderate Muslim community of Boston?

• The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center offers courses from the Islamic American University, whose vice chairman is Jamal Badawi, a trustee of the center, and headed by Sheik Yusuf al-Qaradawi, a hate-mongering preacher from the Gulf who has been banned from Egypt and the United States.
  
  Sheikh al-Qaradawi is a popular modernist and moderate Islamic scholar. Lots of people are banned from Egypt for taking pro-democratic, anti-dictatorial stands, but al-Qaradawi entertained an interfaith delegation at his Egyptian home during the first half of July.
  
  As the spiritual leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, he praises suicide bombers, debates the correct way to murder homosexuals, and has urged that the Jews be murdered "to the last one.''
  
  This statement is a fairly serious distortion of his positions, and I could probably write several volumes of commentary on Qaradawi's thought. Thus, I have to confine myself to pointing out that
  • that in Massachusetts we have long considered John Brown to have been a hero for waging a campaign
    • that was directed against violent state-sponsored racism of the sort that characterizes Zionism,
    • that included hacking living slavers to death, and
    • that ultimately proved suicidal, and

So what? Jewish, Zionist War Against Salvation

• ISB records show that the organization has both received money from and donated money to organizations that were later investigated or shut down for terrorist activities. Among the recipients of ISB largesse are the Benevolence International Foundation - an Al Qaeda charity - and the recently convicted Holy Land Foundation - a Hamas charity.

These are the people who will now be ministering to the spiritual needs of the local Muslim community and bringing to the center preachers who share their views.

Case in point: The ISB invited Yasir Qadhi to speak at its Cambridge mosque in March. Qadhi is a Holocaust denier who preaches that Jews want to destroy Muslims and that Christians are theologically "filthy."

The record of the Bush administration and ongoing discussion about attacking Iran certainly does indicate that Jewish Zionist Neocons have a plan to incinerate one Arab or Muslim country after another: Why Not Remove Zionist Interlopers?

Muslims, Christians, and Jews have problems with each other's theology. So what? They are different religions: Touch Non-Jew, Wash Hands.

An earlier ISB preacher, Salah Soltan, claims that the Israelis use the skulls of Palestinian babies as ashtrays.

I have no idea who this person is, and if he did say something on this order, he was probably speaking metaphorically and certainly not unreasonably. I could respond by citing lots of random Jews that say lots of hateful things about Palestinians, Arabs, Muslims, and non-Jews in general.

Are these invitations or the warped views of Qaradawi, Fitahi, and Badawi simply irrelevant to the future of interfaith relations in Boston? Or does the city's willingness to cooperate with such people constitute a great betrayal of the local Muslim community?

It is more warped that Muslims are scrutinized so carefully but no one is taking a careful look at the racist and extremist views of far too many Boston-area Jews and non-Jewish Zionists: Followup: Harvard Sharia/Apostasy Debate.

While we were demonstrating against this extremist leadership outside the mosque last week, we got a chilling look at the future of diversity in Boston. One of the imams who came over to talk with us denied the existence of slavery in the Sudan and said that preaching death for homosexuals is an "opinion'' to which Qaradawi is "entitled.''

The fraud of Jacobs' claims about slavery was exposed long ago while a theological opinion is not necessarily indicative of the practice. Jewish law considers homosexuals to be hayevei mitah (liable to death) but the exact mapping of the concepts of homosexual and "liable to death" from sacred to secular is unclear. Islamic opinion is no different and the record of the Ottoman Empire's application of Sharia law shows that simplistic interpretations of sound bytes are highly misleading: The Dialectic of American Islam.

And an angry Muslim youth from the mosque informed us that it was common knowledge that the Jews had tried to assassinate and "betray'' the prophet Mohammed. Consequently, he claimed that Jews could be discriminated against "to some extent.''

The Muslim youth and non-Jewish youth in general should be angry. Laws are being enforced one way for the Jewish power elite and another way for everyone else. One has to wonder why the rules that apply to tax deductible 501(c)(3)  status organizations do not apply to those with which Jacobs and Hale are associated. It is time for equal enforcement and for the purging of those government officials that are giving Jewish Zionist racists a pass on anti-racism rules and the criminal code: One Law for All Americans. 

No sensible person believes that this is what multiculturalism is supposed to mean - and it is way past time for sensible citizens to demand answers to questions about the leaders of the new Islamic Center in Roxbury.

Does the Jacobsian sense of multiculturalism include a place for those that oppose Zionist atrocities and Zionist racism? Does Jacobs' understanding of tolerance include tolerance for anti-Zionist American citizens? Last time I looked the US Constitution did not obligate American citizens to support Zionism or the State of Israel.

Is it permissible to have an open discussion whether the alliance between the USA and Israel is compatible with American values and understanding of core principles like anti-racism, democracy, and human rights? In a time of economic meltdown shouldn't we really be discussing the approximately $6 trillion cost of Israel to the USA and the approximately $100 billion subsidy that we give to Israel every year? Isn't the issue of the Roxbury Mosque simply a red herring to distract from the real issue: Isn't it time to claw-back about $6 trillion dollars from Jacobs, his backers, and American Zionist subversives in general for the fraud that they have committed against the USA: Collection: Chief Zionist Frauds?

Dennis Hale is a member of the Political Science Department at Boston College. Charles Jacobs is president of Americans for Peace and Tolerance. Both headed organizations that were sued by ISB.

Both men should be in jail for conspiracy against rights and tax fraud.

I should have known that a trip advertised on the side of my Facebook page would not be what it seemed, but it just looked so enticing. How could I not take advantage of a trip to New York (everything but the flight) for only two hundred dollars? I decided to apply for the Women’s’ Future Jewish Enterprisers two-week trip in New York.

One day later, after sending in my resume and background information to Aish HaTorah New York, I got a call back informing me that I had been accepted and should book my flight. I did just that, and one week later, I was on my way to Newark Airport, excited and ready to meet important Jewish business people.

I did meet important Jewish business people, such as William Lauder, Jill Granoff, Neil Cole, Robert Hormats, and many more, but these introductions came with information I did not necessarily want. I understood that this was a Jewish trip, and I was excited to get in touch with my Judaism again, but I definitely did not want to hear about Orthodox Judaism day in and day out.
