Remembering the Globe That Was

 

Wilson's last words March 31, 2008 ON READING the obituary (March 27) of David B. Wilson, a columnist whose conservative views I respected but did not share, I was reminded that the last two words of the last column he wrote for the Globe were "Respect Islam." I am sure that he was appalled by neo-conservatives whose implacable hostility toward the Palestinians and the millions of Muslims who identify with them has brought our country to the brink of a global religious war.
