Dispatches: Inside the UK Israel Lobby

Even though Peter Osborne of Dispatches concludes the following program with a sentence implying that he does not know the meaning of "conspiracy," the two videoclips below are worth watching.

Inside Britain's Israel Lobby [1/2]

Inside Britain's Israel Lobby [2/2]

Osborne might have meant that the UK Israel Lobby is not a criminal conspiracy, but he really cannot say without looking at the interconnection of the UK Israel Lobby with Jewish Zionist social networking that crosses from the finance, real estate, and defense industries into the government.

Osborne completely blew it with HonestReporting because he mentioned neither the connection with Aish haTorah and the Clarion Fund nor did he address Israel government funding or the involvement of Jewish Zionist political economic oligarchs like Irwin Katsof. I have a list of blog entries relating to these topics at Cartoon Summarizes Zionist Christmas Wishes.

In his discussion of Zabludowicz, shouldn't Osborne have mentioned this charming group that took part in a Milken Institute event last year?
Participants at a private roundtable on building Israel’s global financial competitiveness, held during the President’s Conference, include, from left: Zvi Ziv (Bank Hapoalim), Howard Wietschner (Goldman Sachs), David Brodet (formerly of the Ministry of Finance), David Franklin (Trustee, President’s Conference), Stanley Fischer (Bank of Israel), Yarom Ariav (Ministry of Finance), Ester Levanon (Tel Aviv Stock Exchange), Glenn Yago (Milken Institute), President Shimon Peres, Les Wexner (Wexner Foundation Ltd.), Abby Joseph Cohen (Goldman Sachs), Shuki Oren (Ministry of Finance), Rony Hizkiyahu (Bank of Israel), Gal Kolev (JP Morgan), Poju Zabludowicz (Tameres Investments), Eitan Rechter (Kardan Investments), Sheldon Adelson (Honorary Chair, President’s Conference), Dan David (Trustee, President’s Conference).

Overall Osborne was extremely weak on the historical background to the Israel Lobby. In Wilders' Columbia Song and Dance, I point out:
Nineteenth century Jews inherited a superior form of social networking from the international Jewish trade networks of the Middle Ages.

Even though pre-modern forms of Jewish business activity were in decline since the late 18th century, the associated Jewish networks of trust increased in size and cohesiveness with the development of international telecommunications technology and the growth of the associated international media industries in the 19th century.

At the same time, (1) because Jewish population was growing rapidly, (2) because many traditional Jewish economic niches had become obsolete, and (3) because more non-Jews had begun to enter traditionally Jewish types of business, Jewish social networks were becoming more aggressive and often tried to establish effectively exclusive claim to new economic sectors.

Increasing numbers of non-Jews began to view Jews as economic cheaters, and despite self-serving Jewish efforts to blame Christianity for rising hostility toward Jews (in an era of declining religious belief!), classic late 19th anti-Semitism was really a response to the growing effectiveness of Jewish social networking and can be primarily attributed to antisocial Jewish behavior associated with certain aspects of economic modernization and technological innovation that advantaged the Jewish metapopulation.
Some 19th century observers had a clear understanding of Jewish political economics: The Origins of the Zionist Lobby.

Introduction: Jewish Historical Political Economics provides a good starting point to understand how the transnational Israel Lobby results from Jewish evolutionary psychology.
This blog entry points to “The History of Israel without the Distraction of Israeli History”, which discusses the origin of the UK Zionist (later Israel) Lobby at the beginning of the 20th century.

Petroleum: Driving Force in Zionism discusses the impetus that late 19th and early 20th century oil politics gave to Zionism and and that resulted in the intertwined efforts of Zionist Jews and British Jewish oil interests to manipulate British foreign policy.

During the program Osborne brought up the BBC's refusal to air humanitarian aid advertisements in the aftermath of the IDF's Gaza Rampage. I addressed the issue in the following two blog entries:
  1. BBC and Gaza Charity Appeal
  2. Followup: BBC and Gaza Charity Appeal.
